Change?

The following night Stella was laying in bed confused on why she got the ring from Austin. "Why? Why didn't he answer me when I verbally asked him why? Is he gonna break up with Hayden? Or, is he just trying to be sweeter than he comes on to be?" So many questions flew through her mind like a bird lost from its nest.

She then got a text on her phone... "Hey!" It was from Irene. "Oh Irene, you're such a good friend." She thought to herself. Her phone started buzzing with her ringtone blasting loudly. "Hey, hey, hey!! What's up girl?" Irene shouted as Stella answered the phone. "Oh, nothing. Trying to go to sleep. But, then you called!" Stella chuckled. "Oh! I'm sorry to interrupt your beauty rest, my darling! I'll let you go to sleep!" Irene proclaimed. "Haha, thanks. I'll see you tomorrow, lovely!" As Stella got that out of her mouth she turned her light off and got out of bed to find her phone charger. When she finally found it under her bed the ring was sitting next to it.

"It must've fell off of my night stand! I should put it back, after all it's a gorgeous ring!" As she put it on her night stand she saw her phone buzzing with a text reading "meet me in mrs. Barlow's!" It was sent from Austin. Stella was so confused. As she drifted to sleep, her eyes would get heavier.

•RING RING• "Whoa! My phone! Geez my alarm is loud!!!!" Stella yelled. As she walked up to her mirror she screamed. "DADDY!" As her father walked in the room he said "yes, dear?" Stella looked at him as if he had done something devious to her. "What on earth is wrong with my hair?!?" Her dad looked at her very confused, like she was playing a prank on him "what do you mean? It looks normal."

"IT'S BLUE. IT HAS BLUE IN IT." Her dad Didn't know what to say. "Honey, it's normal. It looks exactly like it usually is." Her dad stated. "Whatever,  I'm going to school. I don't wanna be late." As she kissed her dad goodbye she was off to school. As soon as she got there everybody was staring. Irene looked at her and said "Whoa! You look more beautiful than ever! Is it a new makeup brand?" Stella smirked while she was talking. "No, my hair. Is BLUE!" Irene looked at her very confused "Nice prank. You dyed your hair with blue highlights 3 months ago Stella, why are you being so stubborn?"

As Irene got that out of her mouth Hayden walked past Stella smiling. "Well, well, well. I've been looking all over for you darling! Where have you been? Come on! We are going to do our nails!"

Stella looked at Hayden as if Hayden was lying. Like usual. "Uh....what?"

Hayden looked at Stella grinning "honey, are you ready to go?" Irene looked at Stella very weirdly "usually you're psyched to go with her.. After all you guys are best friends!!"

After Irene said that Stella heard Hayden repeatedly saying "Stella, Stella, Stella, Stella...."

"STELLA. STELLA. STELLA. " a new voice was being replaced by Hayden's. "No,no,no" Stella started saying. "Wait HUH?" Stella woke up very rapidly like she got smacked in the face. "Whew. It was all a dream. That was very close. Thanks, for waking me dad."

"What were you dreaming about Stell?Her dad asked. Nothing, nothing.  As her dad walked out of the room Stella texted Irene. "What would I look like with blue highlights?"
