"I'll draw Davina's spirit to a circle. As long as she's there, the ancestors won't be able to torment her," Freya declared. "With luck, that will buy you some time to find a way to resurrect her. But I'll need to channel an Original if I'm going to sustain the spell."

"Take me. Put me down, for all I care, if it keeps her safe," Kol insisted.

"No, you've been marred by the ancestor's magic. So, Klaus, Elijah, rock, paper, scissors." Elijah took a step toward Freya but stopped as the candles on the table in front of her caught fire.

"That can't be good," I commented, eyebrows furrowing.

"My early warning system," Freya acknowledged. "I think a New Orleans witch is trying to meddle with one of you."

"If Lucien has the new Regent at his beck and call, it's me he's coming after," Nik asserted. Rebekah's portrait suddenly caught fire behind us.

"No, he's going after Rebekah," Freya announced.

"Lucien thought that killing Cami would have me charging into his lair on a suicide mission. When it didn't, he set his sights on Rebekah," Nik explained, pacing. "He's kicking hornets' nests until we have no choice but to confront him."

"Presumably, he still believes she's at the bottom of the ocean," Elijah stated.

"I cloaked all of you, but with the ancestors working for Lucien, it may take a while, but if he wants to find Rebekah, he will," Freya added.

"I'll go get her," Nik commented.

"It's not safe out there."

"What, then? Are we to sit here and play cards until Lucien slides Rebekah's bitten corpse down the hall?"

"Let me go," Elijah offered. He went to leave the room, but Nik grabbed him by the arm, stopping him.

"I moved her," Nik announced. "Don't look so surprised. I never did like you two sharing secrets." I rolled my eyes at his comment.

"Tell me where she is," Elijah demanded. "Unless you expect me to stay here and leave our sister entirely defenseless?"

"I expect you to prevent Kol from suffering the same loss that I did. Lucien deserves our collective ire. Today, all grievances are tabled." Not long after Nik left, Marcel showed up, carrying a box.

"It's been a long time since I've seen one of these," I commented, pulling the Hand of Glory out of the box.

"You've seen one of these before?" Kol asked as I handed it to him.

"A long time ago."

Kol turned to Freya, who was setting the last candle out, "Freya. I need this to work."

"Don't worry, brother. Eleventh-hour spells happen to be my specialty," she told him before turning to Marcel. "Tell Vincent to begin the consecration." As Marcel started typing on his phone, Elijah knelt down on one knee, grabbing Freya's hand. Kol and I moved around to the other side of the circle as Freya began chanting. The Hand of Glory candle finally lit, Davina appearing in the circle.

"Whatever it is you did, thank you," she remarked, tears in her eyes.

"Why don't we give them a moment?" I suggested, looking from Freya and Elijah to Marcel. They nodded, all of us leaving Davina and Kol alone.

Hearing Davina cry out, I followed the short path to the room she was being kept in. Elijah had Marcel pinned to the wall and Freya had a hold of Davina's wrist as she chanted an incantation. "Please, don't do this!" Davina cried, blood dripping from her eyes.

"What the hell are you doing?" I called, moving further into the room to stop Freya. Before I could reach her, Elijah had snapped Marcel's neck and grabbed my arms, holding me back. "Freya, stop!" Davina continued to cry, begging for Freya not to let go. I struggled against Elijah's hold as Freya's chanting got louder. With a scream, Davina was gone, the circle broken. "What did you do?! Why would you do that?! We promised to help her!"

"It had to be done," Freya replied.

"What the hell are you talking about?!"

"We don't have time to explain right now. I'm sorry." Before I could get another word out, Freya had lifted her hand, everything going dark.

ONLY 1 CHAPTER LEFT!!! Plus the bloopers.

I have officially finished moving into my aunt's house (where I will be for the next 2 weeks before moving into my new apartment). Now, I can focus on writing the next book. I've already got it started, I just need to finish it.

Has anyone here seen The 100? If so, what do you think?
