Chapter 3: Cakes and Bandages

*(January 19th 2014) Sorry I hadn't written this story in a long time. I didn't think anyone would expect there to be more, I will continue it with better grammar and hopefully better writing and structure of the story' direction! HAPPY NEW YEAR :D*

Recap

 On the previous chapter, Julia had come to Matthew's house to remake the cake, bought all new ingredients just so she can fulfil this order for a birthday girl! which had turned out to be Matthew's Sister! Although, Matthew being forced to help to make up for his trouble; had caused more trouble. The attempt to make a new cake was a failure. Matthew had gotten upset upon the idea of having Julia stay just to have some snacks that his mom had offered her, since Matthew had been terrible towards Julia, causing her to not get the order delivered in one piece. Matthew had pushed Julia out of the door along with her supplies. Not knowing that he had hurt Julia on her nose and feet. Julia came home to her parents and her parents were in a big uproar about her sudden..... bloody appearance as her nose was bleeding from the door slamming. also her weird limp that had come out from kicking Matthew's door. Her parents were not the only people who were worried about her, the new employee of Gracious Treats; Fred who seems to love Julia very much and has come to Gracious Treats to see and to grab Julia' attention everyday, who suddenly got hired by her parents as to hopefully setting Julia up for future marriage to help run the bakery. Although from his tubby appearance Julia has never planned to go out with him, but she seeks a partner who is willing to bake with her for the rest of her life.

Chapter 3: Cakes and Bandages

Later on that night, at  Matthew and Selena's house.. The Whites household; there was Selena's 10th birthday party going on. Selena invited all her friends to come over to have some fun, to celebrate her double digits. Since the cake that was ordered for Selena never successfully came her mom had tried to attempt on baking a cake for her 10 year old daughter; the only thing was... Mrs. White was never good at baking.  So Mrs.White had taken a very long time to bake it and to also ice it. the cake had fallen apart the icing wouldn't stick to the cake, she wasn't good at drawing with the icing either, so she printed out pictures of the Twilight series from her printer and pasted it onto the cake, which was probably not a good idea!

Matthew on the other hand, is in his room, music on high and thinking about the events that had happened yesterday "After I met that girl I've just had a lot on my plate and it's not just flour and sticks of butter either..." Matthew thought "LIFE JUST SUCKS BALLS" Matthew yelled. Matthew then looked over at a picture of his dad and him. -fade out-

----------Julia's Place---

               "OOOOHHHH I have these big bandages around my nose how am I going to go to school I'm going to have wear a paper bag over my head tomorrow...." Julia squealed and mumbled Julia's Mom (who has no name yet) applies medicine for her and as she was --- "OWWWW MOM!!!!" ... applying medicine Julia screamed until the windows broke and--- "JULIAAA WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SCREAM SO LOUD NOW THE WINDOW IS BROKEN.. she yelled, "Mom.. Sorry hehehe :)" as there was a moment of silence between Julia and her mom they suddenly hear noises outside, they look out the window.

            "WHOAAAA DID YOU SEE THAT WINDOW BREAK OUT OF NOWHERE?! IM LIKE TRIPPING OUTTTT DUDDEEEE"  "HAHAHAHAH LET ME SEEE IF A WINDOW BREAKS WHEN I SCREAM". there were drunk boys outside, college boys who probably were just heading home from a wild party as the drunk friend of the random drunk guy was about to scream, a bunch of neighbours popped their heads out...  DON'T SCREAM OR YOU PAY FOR OUR WINDOWS!! they yelled, the drunk guy started screaming but it wasn't a long scream but a short one and it was far too quiet to break a window. and when the drunk friend of the drunk guy realized he couldn't break any windows. he came into conclusion that "BOY, GIRLS ARE LOUD THEY'VE GOT THE SKILL TO BREAK GLASS... COOL!! he said and laughed. The two college boys then walked away with the random guy slapping behind his head and calling him a dumb ass and saying that "Girls may have the skill to break glass well, we have the skill.... the skill to.... break virginities!! HAHAHAHAA!! they both walked off in to the moonlight drunk as... drunk as... drunk as... WHO THE HECK CARES THEY WERE JUST DRUNK and so they waltz off into the moonlight and a bromance probably escalated somewhere on the way home.

Julia and her mom Laura stared at each other in silence initiating a staring contest for a brief moment, but then Laura slaps her daughter in the face and tells her to go to bed and walks out the door like a ninja. "Ouch" Julia complained "My face hurts now!" she added and quietly went to sleep like she should be while covering her body fully with her blanket and shivering into the night.

-----Back at the White's---

It was about 10pm and there was no cake to be seen; Mrs White had just finished icing the cake and the parents were at the house ready to take their kids home for bed. Selena blocked the doorway and lashed at the guests' parents "MY BIRTHDAY IS STILL ON I DEMAND EVERYONE TO STAY UNTIL WE EAT CAKE!!!!" Selena yelled "WHEN ITS TWELVE YOU CAN LEAVE! Don't like Cinderella? deal with it!" Selena added. The parents had their eyes wide open, sat down on the floor then ordered their kids to sit on the floor too before Selena had devoured them with her big mouth. Mrs. White came out with the cake and sang Happy Birthday to her precious daughter, Everyone else began to come in awkwardly but then, Selena then realized the candle was short and the cake started to burn, the cake caught on fire and Mrs.White dropped the cake on the floor after being burnt and hurt by the heat. Mrs.White started to laugh "Baked Alaska anyone?" the fire had started to spread, all the parents were screaming and tried to open the door, they failed because the front door had many special locks, to prevent burglars from coming in so the parents went crazy and dived right through the windows. One of the parents had yelled and said "YOUR HOUSE IS GONNA BURN DOWN ANYWAY FORGET YOUR WINDOWS!!" and screamed FIRE FIRE FIRE.

It was night and everyone in the neighbourhood was dead asleep. Mrs. White called the police in a panic and told them the location and everything, after that, she and Selena tossed numerous amounts of water to seize the fire but it just got worse and worse. They had called out to Matthew who was upstairs but his music had been on too loud. Matthew then smelt burnt wood and the smell of nasty cake he opened up his door and there was smoke everywhere and he-- WHAT THE EFF HAPPENED?! O_O WHY IS THERE A FIRE?! he tries to go downstairs and flames had been everywhere, he decides to run back into his room and packs all his belongings all the pictures he took, and all the music he loved and grabbed his guitar and tried to get as many pairs of clothes he could and tossed them out the window.

Afterwards, he jumped out the window, making sure he was safe. Matthew then worried about his mom and his little sister and ran back inside to try and save them, he called out his sister and his mom,  "SELENA!? MOM!? WHERE ARE YOU?!!" he yelled in fear. Moments later, he found his mom and sister laying on the ground with burnt marks on their faces, he tried to drag them both out at the same time but could not, so he quickly got Selena out of the house and laid her on the ground and ran back inside for his mom hoping that she's still okay, he then puts his mom on his back and carries her out while trying to dodge all the wood pieces that were falling from the ceiling. He finally made it out and he let go of his mom, he ran over to his sister "Selena are you okay?!" Matthew asked in a worried tone "No! I'm not okay! if you hadn't messed up my cake my birthday would've been fine, my birthday is all ruined because of you!" Selena yelled and cried like any 10 year old would. 

Matthew snapped back "YOU ALMOST LOST YOUR LIFE IN THERE AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS A CAKE?! YOUR BIRTHDAY?! THERE WILL BE MANY BIRTHDAYS!!!" Selena then cried and the ambulance and firemen had come the paramedics drove Matthew and his family all to the hospital for check-ups. While the firemen had worked on seizing the fire inside and outside of the house. 

---At the hospital--- 

"I'm fine! I said I don't need treatment I'm not burnt at all!" Matthew explained It was about 30 minutes after the accident at the house with the burning cake.

"After I yelled at Selena, she fainted... maybe I was a little hard on her but she was worrying about her birthday more than her life what was I was supposed to say? Why does everyone believe in having cake on their birthdays? its just a big fat lump of sugar just asking to get sick and now here we are... a hospital..." Matthew thought

Excuse me? you are Matthew yes? A doctor asked "Yes I am, Doctor, My name is Matthew., "My name is Doctor Jacob I am here to tell you about your sister and mother" "Wh- What's the matter Doctor?, are they going to be okay?" Matthew worried "Yes Yes they'll be fine your mother is just unconscious from shock and your sister fainted.. "How long will it take for them to regain consciousness?" Matthew wondered "could be any time shouldn't take more than a day" "Alright! I'll be back after school ends to check on them alright doc!" "Wait, you're going? oh~ alright... you seem okay enough" Doctor said with a soft sigh -fade out-
