"We can't keep doing this, Gerald," I breathed out as my back hit the wall. I gasped loudly when he sank his teeth into my neck, leaving yet another hickie.
With one swift kick, he closed the dressing room door. He picked me up with ease, pausing to wrap my legs around his waist.
"One more time, baby," he said into my neck. "This shirt has got to go," he muttered as he slid his cold hands up my shirt, tossing it to the floor.
"You said that last time," I said through a shiver when his hands touched my sides. "We're broken up. It's not right to hook up," I said as I ran a hand through his hair, cupping his cheeks in my hands to make him look at me.
He held me against the wall as he matched my gaze, his hands squeezing my ass.
"There's just something about you that I'm not ready to let go of, you know," he hummed softly as he reached in and kissed me again.
He pulled me away from the wall, taking me over to the couch and laying me down as he climbed on top of me.
"I think we should get back together, Rach," he said as he sat on my legs, his hands resting on my thighs.
I looked up at him, chewing on the inside of my cheek.
"Gerald," I paused. I was one of the only people to ever call him Gerald. "We broke up because you're on tour and I gotta go back to school. You said yourself that you can't manage a relationship. How do you think I feel every time we hook up?"
He put his hands on my thighs, rubbing his thumbs into them.
"Mhm, but you know I get lonely without you," he said as he spread my legs, moving down on top of me as he held himself over me, placing a soft kiss to my lips. "Come with me."
I tugged on his lip gently, pulling away and looking at him.
"I can't, Gerald. You know that." I said as I watched the sadness in his eyes grow stronger. "You know I'm on a scholarship. If I take a semester off, I lose it," I said as he sat up, taking my hands in his.
"You know you make me happy, you know," he said as he brought each of my hands to his lips, kissing my knuckles. "I've never done this with anyone. I don't catch feelings. Or chase girls. I don't know why you're so different."
I propped myself up on my elbows, sitting up and leaning against the couch while he sat back on my legs.
"Gerald, you made me happy. You know you did. All those nights you came to visit me in my dorm and when we spent that summer together before you started getting serious with your career," I said as I sat up, leaning against the couch, pulling him closer to me so he was in my lap.
He played with my bra straps, leaning in and kissing me softly. He pulled away, resting his forehead against mine.
"I'm sorry, Rach," he said softly. "I want to make this work. You changed me in ways that I can't even begin to describe. Please, give me another chance," he said as his voice cracked.
Hold on. Was THE G-Eazy actually crying in front of me right now? Unbelievable.
"Gerald, baby," I frowned as I wiped his tears away with my thumbs, wrapping my arms around him as he buried his face into my neck. "We'll make it work if you're sure you can balance it all," I said quietly.
"I'll fly you out on the weekends you aren't busy and shit, and I'll pop up in your dorm," he said as he placed soft, wet kisses on my collarbone, nibbling on it. "I'm sure your best friend Kaitlyn will get over it."
I smirked at the mention of Kaitlyn, tilting my head to the side when he nibbled on my neck.
"She knows you make me happy. Hell, all of your followers know I make you happy now that you've been posting those pictures," I whispered.
"I'm a changed man now, baby," he murmured against my neck, pulling away and looking me in the eyes. "I wanna show you off. I want the world to know the Rachel McFadden that I know," he said as he smiled at me. "But I want you to think about coming with me on tour."
"Baby, I can't," I said softly. "I want to, more than anything. But I have to stay at school. I only have another year left and I'll be back in San Francisco looking for a job to repay my loans."
"I told you, I'll handle it," he said as he cupped my face in his hands, kissing my nose. "Don't worry about it."
"Gerald."
"Rachel."
"Ugh," I groaned. "I hate when you fucking do that," I pouted.
"I love you, too, baby," he laughed as he pulled off the rest of our clothing.
After nearly a year of dating this man, I can't quite pinpoint what it is about him.
