Imprint

Jake and I are going to the store to get him some new clothes. He only has two pairs of cutoffs left, and everyone says that Paul can't control the shift. Ha! This has been really hard for Jake and I know that. I've already told the rest of the pack that there is a mandatory meeting at my house after Jake drops me off. Sam told Jake that as soon as he drops me off he needs to go to his school and pick up his work from today. That gives me at least an hour to talk to the guys.
"Hey Jake, try this on."
I hand him a Highway To Hell T-shirt. He takes it and puts it on.
"You look good Jake.  Are you almost ready?"
Jake nods. As we walk up to the check out counter a girl bumps into us. She's in a hurry.
"Jake, go on up to the counter. Here's my wallet. You know my debit card pin." He nods again and walks away. The girl looks frantic.
"Hey are you ok? My name is Bella. Is there something I can do to help you?"
"I'm Kassie, my boyfriend and I got into a fight and he hit me."
Upon closer inspection I see a red welt on her face. Just then a man grabs her arm. I assume he is the asshole who has hit her.
"Look, dude, I don't know who the hell you are but you had better take your hands off of Kassie, before you lose them."
He looks at me and gives me an evil grin.
"Who the hell is going to make me, little bird?"
Just then Jake grabs the back of the guys neck and says,
"I will. Now do what the ladies told you and get lost. Or I'll make sure you do."
The guy turns around and starts to swing on Jacob. Before his fist can connect to Jake, Jake lashes out with his leg and wraps it around the guys knees and brings him down. He leans real close to the man.
"I said get lost, asshole."
The guy nods, gets up and runs off.
"Bella, Kassie, are you two..."
Jake is looking at Kassie. And she is looking at him. He just imprinted.
"Jake, why don't you and Kassie go get a coffee or something. Maybe give her a ride home?"
He nods and they walk off. I call Sam.
"Hey Sam. Mandatory meeting moved to now. Someone needs to come pick me up."
"Jake left you?"
"I told him to. I'll explain when we are all together."
"Ok Bella. I'll be there in five."
"Ok."

A/N ohhh looks like Jacob is the hero again. Sorry this was a short chapter. It's pretty late and I've had a lot going on in my life recently. Including a miscarriage. Please continue to read and comment. I love you all. XOXO
