Bailey's POV
I unlocked my door of my flat and let Harry in. I closed the door behind me and sat on the couch, and he sat on the other end.
"Okay I'll start from the beginning." I said. Harry nodded, ready to listen.
I took a deep breath, "So I was born here and moved to the the United States when I was fifteen. I moved back here by myself when I turned eighteen, to go to school here.
"I moved away from my family because of my parents and my brother. My brother was like the perfect guy. He had straight A's, perfect SAT's, Prom King, captain of the football team, and all of that. I got a B on a test and they grounded me. The expectations were too much.
"So to deal with the stress, I got my first boyfriend. His name was Dylan and he turned out to be a jerk." I said, taking a deep breath. Okay, I've made it this far.
"So he cheated on me, my parents were still obsessed with my brother, and I took my chance to move once I was eighteen.
"When I started Uni I got another boyfriend. His name was Andrew and I thought he was the sweetest guy. Turns out he was having one night stands every night he was dating me." I played with my fingers, not wanting to look at Harry.
"Then there was Chris, then Zack, then James, then Cameron, then Brendan, then Sean, then Ryan, and the latest one, Justin." I said, counting them on my fingers.
"Ten guys cheated on you?" Harry whispered in disbelief. I nodded my head and looked down, feeling the sudden urge to cry.
"I found out that Justin cheated on me the night I met you. That's why I looked like the was crying." my voice cracked.
"Bailey-"
"I don't know why I'm not good enough for them, I don't know what's wrong with me." My voice cracked and the tears were falling now.
He continued, "Well Bailey, you have to understand that those other girls got cheated on too so they probably feel the same way and-"
"No Harry, every single one of those girls knew about me but they didn't care." I said, finally looking at Harry. I saw he was crying too.
"Why are you crying?" I asked quietly.
"Because all of these guys were jerks, you'll never be able to see how a real guy can treat you." He said getting up, and pacing around.
"Harry." I whispered.
"They ruined my chance with you." He finished.
"Harry, please calm down." I said quietly. He came and sat next to me and pulled me in for a hug.
"I'm so sorry you had to go through all of this." I kept quiet, inhaling his sent as he stroked my hair.
"It's not like it's your fault." I replied.
"Well, I can still be sorry for it." He pulled away and smiled down at me. I smiled back.
"I'm so happy we became friends, Harry." I said, grinning.
"Me too, Bailey." He smiled back.
"So is this why you didn't like when I tried to make a move on you at the movies? And why you never texted me after that night on the bus?" He asked.
I slowly nodded. "And you trusted me enough to tell me all of this?" He asked and I nodded again.
"Or was it because I was a pain in the ass about it?"
I let out a laugh and said, "A little bit of both."
He embraced me in another hug, holding me there for a while. I silently hoped that just because I told him this, he would give me sympathy. Yes, I am broken. But I don't need sympathy.
"Harry don't take it personally, I just don't want to be heartbroken again." I barely whispered.
"I know." He smiled with understanding.
Harry's POV
Honestly, I just wanted to track down every single one of those guys and kill them all.
Of course I understand where Bailey is coming from, and I get it but that isn't going to stop me.
I'm going to do anything I can, to show her I'm different then all of them.
Because there is something about her, something I can't seem to figure out.
And it's got me hooked.
