It is down to the seconds.
Crowds are roaring.
The anticipation is looming.
The ball was under T.J.'s possession, whose focus was sharply on the net. The score is tied. Now, it is up to T.J. to break it.
Cyrus was bouncing off his seat. The suspense was absolutely killing him. For days did T.J. ranted to Cyrus about the opponents for this particular game and their toughness to beat.
So, every afternoon, Cyrus would sit on the bleachers and watched T.J. repeatedly practice moves. Cyrus' boredom was cured when he noticed how increasingly attractive T.J. looked as he was doing his thing on the court. He found himself not being able to look away. He thought to himself, this basketball captain could have all the girls in the school and yet he chosen him, Cyrus Goodman.
T.J. made his shot. The ball hit the back board before hitting the rim. Cyrus' expression dropped.
But, a gentle breeze from the open windows made its appearance. The ball changed it's direction, hitting the floor, echoing victory for Jefferson.
The crowd was silent. But, that was short lived as the stampeding cheers and screams for the incredible luck and shot made by that boy followed. Cyrus was the loudest. That boy was his boyfriend. His boyfriend did that.
With heart thumping with joy, he felt extremely proud. He watched as T.J. spent hours after hours after school tearing himself apart practicing for this game. He didn't want to even think about what T.J. would do if today's game was a lost.
At the moment, T.J. was surrounded by excited teammates and fans with words of praise thrown at him at every angle. Back then, T.J. would love moments like these for all the attention was poured on him. But, this time, he felt awkward. He looked around for Cyrus and found him talking to Andi with a giant smile on his face.
Their eyes made contact and the smile on Cyrus only grew. T.J. pushes through the crowd and ran towards Cyrus with open arms. Cyrus eyes widen in excitement as he hastily got off his seat and made his way towards T.J.
When he got to the right distance, he jumped onto T.J. and wrapped his legs around T.J.'s waist. T.J. supported Cyrus' light weight easily as he wrapped his arms around Cyrus' ass.
Cyrus buried his face at the crook of T.J.'s neck, taking in his sweaty scent. "Hey bub, look at me," said T.J.
Cyrus raised his head and was immediately met with a small peck on his lips. Cyrus smiled in returned as T.J. gave him his famous smirk. It was then did Cyrus realize everyone had their eyes on them.
Cyrus felt his heart swell with pride.
T.J. Kippen was his and Cyrus Goodman was T.J.'s.
Neither were afraid to admit it.Cyrus can never be more with happier than he is when he's with T.J. Cyrus pushes T.J.'s sweaty hair back and kissed his forehead.
"We won," said Cyrus. T.J. gave him a look. "Why? You didn't think we would?"
Cyrus chuckled. "No, I knew you guys would." He then cupped T.J.'s face, rubbing his thumb across T.J.'s cheeks. Cyrus felt his face starting to grow warm as they continue to look at each other with no words being exchanged because there was no need.
"Man, your so cute," said Cyrus, looking away, blushing.
