Junior Year

Chapter seven: rose

     I am walking down the hall, its all my fault and I know that Amelia is annoyed with me. Just like that I hear Alex and William fighting. They got together after William and Alyvia broke up and she was okay with it.
"William I'm sorry please don't be angry." The desperation in his voice is clear. "You—you cheated on me. You had— with Harrison Wells" William says and I hear his voice crack. I turn around the corner so I can see and Alex gently grabs William's wrists and that's the part that got to me. William winces at the touch and Alex looks at him and pulls his sleeve up and I stare he stared and William stares at his wrist. "You said— you said your weren't going to do it anymore. You promised you weren't going to hurt yourself anymore." William angrily yanks his wrist away from Alex's grip. "Yeah well you said you loved me and look what you did with that." He says "But I love you, William, I love you not loved." William rolls his eyes and tears fall down his face and he runs down the hall to the stairwell and I know that's not a good thing.

I run after him yelling his name and I run to the 2nd floor "William, don't do anything stupid!" I yell and then there is Amelia and Caleb sitting there talking. "Rose!" Caleb yells I turn towards him "I gotta go." And I sprint after William. I get to the 5th floor and I go to the roof, the school has really tall ceilings so the building is taller than normal and there is William standing on the edge. "William please don't do this, don't jump." I say and he turns around at me tears now falling one after another and he says "I love him, but I can't believe what he says." I walk towards him and he steps closer to the edge when he's looking down I move closer and then I grab him but he tries to jump, I pull him and I scream "William!" I fall and he falls on top of me and he's looking down on me. "Rose." He says. Then Amelia and Caleb are there I don't know how long they've been there but then I don't even think I push William off and he looks confused, then I hug him and he hugs back, "I'm sorry Rose." He apologizes, I shake my head "Shut up, you didn't do anything." I say. We all just stand there in silence.
