Tyler's POV
"Tyler, wait!" I heard Summer call out to me, but I couldn't. There were so many things floating in the water; I wanted to see what there was before I had to head back home. Summer soon caught up with me, grabbing ahold of my arm.
"Tyler, we have to go. Your dad is gonna get mad if he finds out that we were up here." I ignored everything she said, as I was examining everything in front of me. I pushed her away and swam through all the wreckage.
"What do you think happened here," I said as I picked things up.
"I don't know, and I don't want to figure out. It just looks like something bad happened here. We should leave."
"You can go on ahead, I'll be right behind you."
"Ok, just," she put her head half way in the water, "just be careful."
I nodded as she disappeared into the water. I continued looking at the items when I saw something. I swam closer to it. I saw that it had two fins, but no scales. What is this creature. It had white hair, and what is it that it's wearing. I looked around it, and looked under the clothing it had on his fins. I was shocked at what is saw and was automatically flushed. It's a man. I moved the hair out of his face, to see that his eyes were closed. I opened one seeing that they were ice blue, how pretty~. GAH what am I thinking! I checked to see if he was breathing so I brought, his mouth to my ear. Air was being inhaled and exhaled from his mouth, thank god.
The water must be freezing for him; I took him off the platform and put his arm around my shoulders as I swam to the nearest land mark.
I set him down on the sand as I looked over him. His face was beautiful. It was different from what I'm used to seeing. Usually everyone has scales or gills or something on their face, but he didn't. I smiled about it. After awhile, I laid next to him. He's body was cold so I wrapped myself around him, soon I had fallen asleep with my head on his chest.~•~•~•~•~•~1 hour later~•~•~•~•~•~•
Marks POV
I squinted my eyes open as the sun laid directly above me. I felt something wrapped around me and my legs. I tried sitting up, but pain rushed through my head forcing me to stay down. I felt something around myself and felt an arm around me. I looked to my left, and see a man! My eyes jolted open as I saw no shirt on him. I began to freak out more as I saw past his torso. Scales! I didn't care about the pain in my head anymore, as I jolted my body up, escaping from the grasp of the creature. My breathing became heavy as I saw that he was a merman. I looked around to see if anyone else was near, thank god no.
I sat down next to him as I examined him. I picked up his fin, his scales were so magnificent. I rubbed my hands against them softly. One came off, so I put it my pocket for safe keeping, hoping I could get some money. I noticed he had random scales around his arms, chest, and face. Except they were darker then the ones on his fin. His hair was almost a shade of blue, and when I fully looked at his face he looked to be about 19, or something around that age. I jumped up when he turned towards me and curled up, I smiled at how cute it looked. I saw something under his eye, like a scar so I hovered over him to get less light on his skin. That's when his eyes jolted open and he pushed me away. I could tell he was frightened, because he was breathing heavily and eyes were filled with shock.
"Hiii..." I said as I waved towards him. No response, except he seemed more calm. I could see the color of his eyes now. They were almost like a grayish blue. The looked more of a gray with the light hitting them though.
"Do you mind if you tell me what your name is?"
I scooted close to him, and he didn't move. He just kept a normal expression, except he pulled his fin towards him, hugging it against his chest."Don't worry I won't hurt you," I pointed to my chest, " I'm Mark, you can trust me. I won't do any harm." I held up my hand. "I promise."
He stared at me for a while, but then looked down. He began to turn red, and I chuckled at it, making him look back at me. Moments later I hear barking combing from the left side of the beach. I started to panic. I picked him up automatically a ran behind the nearest rock. I placed him in the water, hoping it would hide his fin if they did see us. Just in case, I took my jacket off, and placed it on him. He looked so confused. Just as long as he wasn't making any noises we would be safe.
