Louisa's POV|

Everyone at college was talking about a party some Joseph guy was holding tonight and I had retreated to my favorite spot on campus and was reading a magazine when I saw one of my girlfriends, Eva Martins striding towards where I sat at the far end of the cafeteria with a mischievous smile on her face. Eva was the exact opposite of me, she was tall, blonde, really tan and she was a party queen. She always dressed beautifully and today she wore a knee-length skirt and a crop top and let her hair cover the top of her boobs that peeked out of her dress. Following behind her was Rosalin Marie Issac she was the other part of our girl group, she was the shortest of the three of us but the intelligent one. She was Mexican but grew up in Brooklyn but unlike the rest of us she was brown skinned, had beautiful long dark hair that stopped just by her waist and she always had this gangsta demeanor and she dressed to fill it.

These were the only actual friends I had but I seldom met with them and so most of the time I was alone but today was one of the few days we got to meet and here we were eating and they were mostly taking of the party and a few boys walked over to us and the girls adjusted so they sat with us and they tried making me contribute to their plans and I just buried myself back into the magazine.

I pulled out my phone to check the time and it was a few minutes passed two pm and I had to pick Johnathan from daycare so I bid my friends farewell and drove towards his daycare.

I was laid out on the balcony reading a book I found at the library when my phone beeped and I picked it up to check hoping it was my timer for the brownies I had in the oven. It was a message from Eva saying they were at my front down and I reluctantly got up to open the door. Settling in the ordered for pizza and a few drinks and we sat there eating and watching a movie and I dozed off.

James' POV|

I was all dressed up for the party but I needed to pick my car since Joseph had bashed it earlier in the day and it was at the repair shop so I took a cab there and right across from where I sat I saw the pretty girl from school walking down with her friends. Hold on!, before you think I'm in love with her *rolls eye* I just like her, she's not like most of the girls on campus that want to fuck me. She just special, the kind of girl you wanna beat playing fifa.

I got to the party later than expected and it went through the roof. It was all fun and a lot of chicks and a lot of drinks but I could still drive, I guess. I stumbled towards where my car was parked and as I was fumbling with the keys someone grabbed them from my hand and when I looked up to check the face of the mugger I noticed it was that chick from college, Lou.

"You're too drunk to drive, tell me your address and I'll drop you off there" She said leading me towards the passengers seat.

"West coast apartments" I mumbled dozing off.

I woke up a little past eleven am in my apartment and my keys were on the coffee table with a note that said 'I asked the busboy for your apartment number since you were wasted'. I got around looking for where my aspirins where kept since I had a crazy headache from my hangover.

A while later after I had coffee I had a shower and grabbed my keys heading over to her apartment to thank her but the downside was that I had no idea what number it was, but I knew Joseph would since I had seen him around with her friends from last night. I called him asking for the address which he texted to me and I drove over to see her.

I had been at the door knocking for a few minutes and I heard a lot of ruffling from inside before an older looking female opened the door and scrutinized me from head to toe before asking who I was looking for.

"Sorry, I was told Lou lives here" I replied.

"Lou there's a guy at the door for you!" She yelled through the hallway and a horribly dressed Lou CS out dragging a lil boy by his feet while he just yelled out a bunch of inaudible things.

"Get up  Jonathan or I swear I'm going to burn Mr. Giggles" Lou said trying to pull him up while the older female left the door wide going through the hallway.

"Hey" I yelled trying to gain her attention over the child that was trying to drive her crazy.

"Oh sorry, I had no idea you knew where I lived" she answer letting go of the kids legs and he got up and ran through the hallway yelling something between the lines of 'Mr. Giggles survive and Jonathan wins again'

"Come In" She said trying to free up space on the couch that was covered with toys.

"Sorry to drop in on you like that but I had to say thank you for last night and I thought taking you out for coffee should do the trick" my eyes fixed on the weird looking doll that she held which had lost an eye.

"Sure, but we'd have to go with my nephew and give me a few minutes so I get dressed" She said getting up to leave while yelling the kids name. The older female walked back in minutes later dressed corporately.

"Lou, I'm having coffee with some investors, there money in the coat Incase you need to go out. Make sure Jonathan has his vitamins." She yelled and Lou yelled in reply. She looked towards where I sat surprise visible from how her face searched mine.

"Are you Lou's boyfriend? Because I sure haven't met you before and I know all her friends." She asked me pulling out a coat from the rack.

"No we are just friends" I replied at the rather awkward question.

"Oh, so she's making friends now. Splendid" She replied and I could sense she had an English accent that was quiet hard to notice. Minutes after she left Lou came out in a yellow top and overalls while pulling Johnathan and we walked towards my car where she strapped him behind before we drove off.

We were seating across each other at a cafe with Jonathan beside her enjoying his waffles while she sipped her coffee and the was this peaceful silence between us as neither of us said a word to the other.

"So what's the deal with you?" She asked dropping the cup from her lips.

"Deal??" I asked.

"Yeah, every girl in college keeps talking about you and I just cant see why" She answered.

"Well, I'm one fine man" I said smirking and she giggled.

"Asides the obvious, what else is to you?" She said in between giggles.

"I don't know, how about you hang around me long enough to know what it is?" I asked pushing my phone towards her.

"I'm curious so..." she picked up the phone and typed in her number before pushing it back towards me.

"And you? What's the deal with you?" I returned her question.

"There's nothing" she replied raising her cup back to her lips again, Jonathan hiccuped so she called the waitress to our table and asked for water which she fed to him.

"The woman I met at your apartment is your sister right" I asked curious of the acquaintance I had made.

"Yeah"

"Okay"

And so we sat there saying nothing and the atmosphere was serene before Jonathan started yelling that he wanted to be taken to the park which we both heeded to so he would shut up and I drove us to the park where we sat chatting about a few things, mostly about college till the sun was ready to set and Jonathan was tired and I had to return them home.

On our drive back I had stopped to get a new book since I wasn't planning on going no where tomorrow and I had read every book I had in my library.

I texted her when I had gotten home and that was how we kept chatting about how under appreciated Jon Bellion was, and so my book was long forgotten and I fell asleep texting this weird yet intriguing person.
