I woke up to the sound of groaning coming from my Daddy's room. I got up from my bed and went to the door to try and listen better. I couldn't hear much of anything until I heard a scream. I gasped and grabbed my favorite teddy and a book; just in case.

I went into the hallway, the only thing lighting my way is the kitchen light downstairs. We always left that on so that we could see in the hallway if we needed the bathroom or water. I walked further down the hallway to my Daddy's room when I saw flashes under the door. I heard another scream and let out another gasp.

I opened the door slowly so the bad guy in the room wouldn't see me. I held my teddy closer than I ever had before. I peeked in through the cracked door and the TV was the only source of light. On it, were these ugly things walking and trying to catch people. They looked like people themselves but worse. I saw one grab a lady and pull her to the ground. I turned before I could see what happened but the light from the TV showed red on the wall.

I shook my head from thinking about what happened and continued my mission to save my daddies. I walked inside, book at the ready. I then saw something move across the room. I wasn't sure what it was, because I looked back at the TV to see a group of ugly people eat a man's body and I just stared in horror.

I looked back up and saw a shadow walking over to me, just like how the ugly people were walking. I backed up scared, but it kept moving forward. I finally screamed and threw my book at it.

"Shit!" I heard it say.

Suddenly the TV froze and the lamp came on. I looked up and saw Gerard rubbing his knee and Frank sitting on the bed.

"Sugar what are you doing? And why did you throw a book at me?" Gee asked.
"Daddy!"

I got up and hugged him tightly. I was shaking slightly. Gerard turned to look at Frank who got out of bed to come over.

"Princess what are you doing?" Frank asked.
"I heard noises from my room and I wanted to save you. Then I saw an ugly person eat a guy and I saw one coming for me so I threw my book at it."
"An ugly person?" Gerard asked.

Frank looked at the paused TV then looked back at me with a face full of realization.
"Ohhh, the zombies."
"Don't worry baby girl. They're not real." Gerard said.
"So they're not gonna eat me?"
"No princess. You're safe." Frank reassured.
"Are you gonna eat me Daddy?"
"Why would I eat my pretty little princess?" Gerard asked kissing my cheek.

I laughed as he attacked my face with kisses. I then pushed away his face giggling.
"Wanna sleep with us? I don't want you having nightmares." Frank said.
"Uh-huh! Can I watch the movie with you Daddy?"
Gerard and Frank looks at each other confused. Frank shrugged.

"She does already know it's fake." Frank negotiated.
"Alright, but I'm still covering her eyes at the gorey parts." Gerard said.
"It's not like she'll stay awake for the entire thing."

We sat back on the bed and Gerard put me in between them and unpaused the movie. 10 minutes later, I fell asleep on top of the covers.
"See? That didn't last long." Frank chuckled.
