Today, September the 1st was the day that Harry Potter will finally board the train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. To say he wasn't excited would be a lie but he could cover it up well, so well in fact that not even his demon butler could tell he was excited. As Harry walked through Kings Cross station, he was looking at his ticket. "We have to find a platform 9¾, where could that possibly be?" He mumbled.
"Perhaps follow that ginger mother who's yelling it to the world, Young Master?" Sebastian suggested with an amused smirk. Harry rolled his eyes but did follow the lady. Why on earth was she yelling it though? Surely there was a law against normal humans knowing of magic existing? Sighing, Harry learnt that he'd have to walk or run at the barrier between platform 9 and 10 for him to get onto the platform. Before the youngest ginger could go through the barrier, Harry calmly walked through with Sebastian behind him pushing his cart with his stuff needed for school.
"You go put the cart in the holding part of the train while I go find a compartment for the journey." Harry ordered Sebastian before walking onto the train to the back, two compartments from the back he saw an empty compartment and he walked inside. Resting his head on his chin, Harry stared out of the window at the platform; why was this school so important anyway? Wasn't it just normal to go to school?
Half an hour passed and the train started to set off into the countryside. Sebastian had joined him as the train had just started closing its doors. They sat in silence for a while until..
"Excuse me?" came a voice from the now opened compartment door, "Do you mind? Everywhere else is full?" He asked Harry, his ears turning a deep shade of red. Harry rolled his eyes, he knew that was an obvious lie but he sighed and replied with, "If you must."
The ginger boy grinned and walked into the compartment, taking a seat opposite Harry.
"I'm Ron, by the way, Ron Weasley." He introduced himself and Harry turned to look at him, faking a grin as he introduced himself too.
"I'm Ciel Hadrian Phantomhive-Potter." Ron's eyes went wide at the mention of Potter.
"So... So you are Harry Potter?! You don't look how I expected him to! Bloody Hell what happened to your eye that you have to wear an eye patch?" Ron asked and Harry became annoyed.
"There was an accident, I would prefer you to not ask any more questions on my eye."
Sebastian took a side glance at his master, sighing. "I'm Sebastian Michaelis. Earl Phantomhive's butler."
Ron's mouth hung open and stared at the raven haired, red eyed man sitting next to Harry. "A-A butler? Bloody hell Harry, how rich are you?" Harry's glare met Ron's surprised stare and Ron gulped at how little emotions Harry seemed to have.
"Very. Sebastian is the best of the best." Harry answered, looking out of the window again. Sebastian seemed flattered by Harry's words about him. Ron glared at Sebastian for a second then the snack trolley came and Harry bought himself and Ron some sweets.
After hours of Ron and Harry "talking", a bushy haired girl came into the compartment, head raised high.
"Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named Neville's lost one." Harry shrugged and Ron snorted and she saw that Ron was holding his wand and added, "Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see then." She said with her head held high. Ron rolled his eyes and tried the spell anyway.
"Sunshine, daisies, butter, mellow..turn this stupid, fat rat yellow." He chanted but nothing happened. Harry raised an eyebrow and snorted a bit. Sebastian held back a snicker as Ron turned a slight shade of red.
"Are you sure that's a real spell? Well it's not really a good one is it?" Miss snooty said and grinned and Ron looked over at Harry offended, only to be met with an emotionless stare. "I could demonstrate one for you if you'd like." Miss snooty looked over at Harry and pointed her wand at him, "for example, accio eyepatch" Harry's patch flew off his head and into her hand. Harry snapped his contract eye shut and looked over at Sebastian.
"Miss if you could please give my Young Master back his eyepatch-" Sebastian was interrupted by Miss Snooty.
"Holy cricket! You're Harry Potter! I'm Hermione Granger," She looked over at Sebastian and Ron, "and you two are?"
" 'm Ron Weasley." He introduced himself through a full mouth and Hermione was disgusted.
"Pleasure," She said through pursed lips then looked over at Sebastian, "And you? You're a little old to be on this train don't you think?" Harry sighed before explaining.
"He's my butler, he will not be going into classes with me but will be by my side anywhere else. Please do not ask too many questions you don't to hear their answers, understood?" Harry explained calmly. Hermione nodded and walked to the door before turning and again speaking up.
"you two better change into your robes, I expect we will be arriving soon." She then turned before turning back to face them again, Harry was internally groaning at her to just leave, "You've got dirt on your nose by the way, did you know? Just there." she walked away after that and Harry sighed in relief.
Hermione had been right though because not an hour after her visit, the train pulled into Hogsmede station and all the kids started to get out.
"Sebastian," Harry started, looking at his butler, "Take my things with you to what House you'll know I'll be in. Wait for me there, we have our own private room because I am am Earl now." Sebastian did a half bow before walking away from Harry to the luggage part of the train.
Half an hour later, Harry was standing in the Great Hall next to Ron. Harry was slightly upset that Ron had made him say no to Draco's friend request. He had wanted more than anything to be friends with another noble but no, Ronald had ruined his chance. oh well.
After 20 minutes, Harry's name was called to be sorted and he confidently strode up to the stool and sat down as the hat was placed on his head. It took the Hat five minutes of mumbling to call out proudly, "GRYFFINDOR!" The table erupted in cheers as they chanted 'we've got potter' over and over again. Harry wasn't impressed as he slipped off the stool and took off the hat. He walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat down away from anyone. Had Sebastian known this was his house or was the hat mistaken? Surely it was mistaken, he had begged the hat for Slytherin but once again life wasn't helping.
After the feast, Harry met Sebastian up at the Gryffindor tower with a frown, Sebastian sighed and mumbled the password to the fat lady in the portrait and held the door open for his master. Harry walked inside and sighed.
"Where's our private room? I'm tired and don't want anyone around." Harry mumbled as Sebastian showed him up the stairs to a wall but when Harry stood in front of it, it transformed into a door. Harry walked into this room and glared, this wasn't the room he was promised. it was small and cramped not grand and breathtaking like he had expected. It reminded him of the cupboard under the stairs, Harry turned around to Sebastian. "This is the grand room for Earl Phantomhive is it? Nice one Headmaster Dumbledore." Sebastian sighed as he felt the wall for a switch he found it and flipped it. The room spun and expanded and now there was a king bed with a dresser, mirror and a walk in wardrobe. There was another door that led to a bathroom. Harry just threw himself on the bed and fell asleep.
