Death doesn't happen to you, it happens to everyone around you, it happens to the people left standing at your funeral, trying to figure out how they're gonna live the rest of their lifes now, without you in it.

Lydia looked at Stiles, quietly staring at his hazel eyes, he was looking at Scott, Scott had had a hard time after Allisons death, they all had.

The funeral was the last place where Lydia Martin wanted to be right now, all these people around her, telling her how sorry they are and how they had known her since she was a baby, how great she was, and how tragic this was..

Stiles's hand was on Scott's shoulder, he was looking down at him with a sad expression on his face, Lydia felt tears running down her cheeks, she turned around and Kira saw her mascara, that was no longer on her eyelashes, but under her eyes, and tears falling down her face, Kira wrapped her arms around Lydia and pulled her into a hug, at this point Lydia felt like part of her had just died along with Allison, or, actually it felt like she had died, like someone had just ripped Lydia's heart from her chest, she felt broken.

Later Stiles came up to her, she was still crying "Hey Lydia, are you okay?" Lydia wiped the tears from her face and nodded, he sat down next to her "Stiles I'm fine." She said, refusing to look him in the eyes, he kept looking at Lydia, like he knew she was lying and was waiting for the real anwser, Lydia couldn't stop herself, and she busted into tears

"Everyone is coming up to me, telling me they are sorry for my loss, telling what a great person she was, I--I can't do this, I can't be here--I just--I can't" Stiles moved closer to Lydia and wrapped his hands around her, giving her a kiss on the forehead "Do u wanna leave?" He asked looking her in the eyes, she nodded swiping the tears from her cheeks once again, he got up taking Lydia's hand, they walked up to Scott and Kira "I'm gonna take Lydia home" Kira understood and nodded, Scott was sitting down with his hands covering his eyes, Lydia could hear him sobbing.

Stiles drove Lydia to her house and parked in front of it "Can u just come in for a sec, I could use a friend right now?" Lydia asked, her mascara had ran down her face on to her cheeks and she felt awful, she had never felt worse than this, she couldn't even describe how messed up she felt.."Yeah, ofcourse"

They walked upstairs and Lydia walked straight into her room, when she turned around she saw Stiles who was standing in the hallway "you can come in you know" Lydia grinned, his eyes widened "Oh, yeah, right.." He replied and quickly stepped into her room, Lydia sat on her bed "Is it okay if I--" a questioning expression filled Stiles's face "yeah" Lydia nodded and he sat down so close to her she could almost feel his breath on her face, Lydia looked him in the eyes and he looked straight back

"How do you do that?" she suddenly asked

"Do what?" they were still looking at each other

"You are always there for everyone else, you always seem okay, you always have the strenght to comfort everyone else even tho you are just as messed up as we are" Lydia said breaking their eye contact and looking down at her hands, they were ice cold and still shaking from all the stress and crying

"I have no idea." Stiles replied, he took her hands and rubbed her knuckles with his thumbs

"You're gonna be okay" he said

"No, I'm not, not this time..." Lydia's voice cracked

"Yes, you are. We all are." He gently turned her head and raised her chin, so Lydia was looking straight at him "Lydia, you are gonna be fine." Lydia looked at him a half-smile on her face, she was so lucky to have all the amazing friends she had..
