donghyuck's tanned skin shone under the summer sun, his features highlighted by rays of light shining down on him. his hands reached out, long and slender fingers poking through the sleeves of the sweater that flooded his hands. renjun just barely represses a small coo, freckled cheeks turning champagne pink.
renjun pushes him once more, the swing making him fly up before he jumped off, landing neatly in the golden sand. he laughs slightly, chrysanthemum-pink lips parting as the sound escaped him. donghyuck couldn't help but join in, the sounds mixing. donghyuck stumbles over, tan arms grabbing renjun's freckled one, pulling him down as well.
they end up next to each other, faces mere inches from each other as donghyuck inhaled the raspberry scent that had floated around renjun since they first met. their limbs are tangled, bare arms against bare arms, wrapped around the other's neck, toying softly with hair.
"what am i to you?" donghyuck asks softly, voice cautious after the night before. renjun's lips part instantly, not needing a moment to think of the words he needs to say.
"you are hues of blues and greens, a calm presence that overtakes me in every way. you are shades of navy blue, dark and intimidating as much as it is peaceful and meaningful silence. you are shades of baby blue, childish joy and happiness flooding through your body without rest."
"you are shades of dark green, a healing presence that breathes life to things without hope. you are the colours of the rainbow that keep me moving on when shades of gray overtake my mind."
and as cherry-stained lips met chrysanthemum-pink ones, the world clicked into place and the serendipity that was their love bloomed.
