"Lady Catrina, is it really you?" Uther asked the woman before the court.
"I can hardly believe it myself." she told him.
"We had tidings from the north that the House of Tregor had fallen to invaders." Uther told her.
"All that you heard was true, My Lord, and worse." she told us.
"Your father, the King?" Uther asked her getting up and walking to her.
"Gone, Sire. The enemy attacked without warning. We were outnumbered five to one. He could not endure. I would never have survived had it not been for my faithful servant Jonas. But we did survive, and we have made it this far..." Lady Catrina swooned and Uther caught her. "Forgive me, My Lord. I fear my trials have taken a toll."
"Your sufferings are beyond imagining, My Lady. It would be an honor to help you in any way we can." Uther told her.
"A bed for the night would be most welcome." Lady Catrina told him.
"And consider yourselves our esteemed guests. It's the least we can do." Uther said extending his welcomes to her and her servant.
"Thank you." she said smiling at him.
Arthur and I were walking down a corridor arm in arm.
"My father wishes for us to set a date sooner rather than later." he told me.
"Does he?" I asked him with a smile.
"He does. Do you have all you need for the wedding?" he asked me.
"Almost. My dress has yet to be finished." I told him.
"Your dress?" he asked me, wanting me to clarify.
"Yes, my dress. Gwen has offered to make it, but as you know she has many jobs to do for Morgana." I told him. "Look, there's Merlin and Gaius." I said smiling.
"Merlin! Job for you." Arthur shouted at him.
"Work, work, work." I heard Merlin say and I gigled.
That night Uther, Arthur, Morgana, Lady Catrina and I all ate dinner together.
"Well, this is wonderful. Thank you." Lady Catrina said moving her food around on her plate.
"It's an honor. The Houses of Tregor and Pendragon have been allies for as...well, as long as anyone can remember." Uther told her.
"My father often spoke of you, My Lord." Lady Catrina told him.
"And I will remember him always." Uther said.
"I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to meet him." Arthur told them both and I held his hand.
"I'm sorry too. For the House of Tregor is no more." Lady Catrina told us sadly.
"Well, no, Catrina, it lives on in you." Uther told her and she smiled at him.
"I only wish that were true." she said.
"It is, My Lady. Your courage, your modesty. And you are as you always were, ever since you were a child." Uther told her, trying to cheer her up.
"Ah, I fear I am much changed since then, my Lord." Lady Catrina said taking his hand.
"Oh, yes, it's true. You are far more beautiful now." he said smiling at her. I smiled and looked down at my plate. Arthur faked a yawn
"I'm sorry, hard day's training. If you'll excuse me." Arthur told them falsely.
"Of course." Lady Catrina said smiling at him.
"Arthur." Uther nodded at his son and bid him good night.
