Centuries ago, humans lived normally with no care in the world. Humans lived in an era of peace and prosperity as the children played a kicking game with a ball made of leather and dirt and the adults do the duties they have to their homes. Living peacefully with no magic or mythical creatures in sight or in the same realm.
Well that all shattered the day a human named Agnes Barona decided to take little detour on her way home through a forest. Now, all of you might be thinking 'What has a normal human got to do in this story?', well I'll tell you in a minute. The forest was known for disappearances throughout the last couple decades and strange phenomenons of all sorts, such as people starting to become unhealthy in the head area *wink wink* and some coming out totally different than when they went in before. The forest was called 'The Forest of Werifesteria' or The Forest of Mystery. No one really knows why the forest is called this but it is.
Okay, back to Agnes Barona. Agnes Barona was your average, curious, 16 year old girl. Agnes' father told her stories every day about the forest. How scary and terrifying it could be. So, then.... She decided to go through the forest... where disappearances occur and people turn up different just because she got parsnips. For dinner. Like why?!? OKay, so Agnes wanted to get home quickly so she went through the forest. As soon as she stepped foot in there, she felt a cold chill run up her spine and sting her ears. She hoped the shortcut would be, well, short so she didn't have to spend so much time in there.
While halfway through the forest, Agnes felt a pull. Not any ordinary pull, like someone having a pull to sweets or a pull to pasta. No, a pull like she was meant to be there. She strayed off the path and took a harsh right. Little did she know that that very move would cause a change in the world forever.
Where Agnes turned up was a meadow type place with trees surrounding. Flowers planted around the ground on top of luscious green grass. In the center, stood an arch way made of parts of rock and roots of a tree. The arch had roses along the curves of itself, the color of the sunset the roses were. It was magnificent. The beauty was overwhelming and the feeling it gave off was indescribable to Agnes.
She stepped closer to the arch, drawn to its beauty. All of a sudden, in the center of the arch a light started to appear. Agnes just stood in awe as the light slowly filled the circle whole. The light was magnificent, all the different shades of blue and green mixed together. She stepped closer and closer, inch by inch every second.
Next thing she knew was that she was standing a couple inches away from the light. Agnes raised here hand up to touch it, awestruck. Her fingers slowly phased over the light, then pushed forward.
Agnes was surprised that her hand went through the light, then realized or guessed that the light was actually a portal. She didn't know to where or how it occured, but she wanted to know more.
Agnes steadily walked into the light, but she saw only saw white. White ground, white sky, just pure white.
Then, she heard a voice. A voice that sounded like innocence and angelicness. So sweet and kind to Agnes' ears.
"Hello, child."
"Ummmm..... Who said that?!?" Agnes was really freaked out now. She looked around her, but no one was there.
"I did, child. My name is Gaia, mother of all."
Gaia, Gaia, Gaia. Sounded familiar to Agnes, but couldn't place where she heard it from.
"Where am I? Or where are we?" Agnes questioned, still confused as to what was happening all around her.
"My child, I called out for you, to see if you could find me. And you did, most don't even realize that I was calling out to them."
Ohhhhhh, so that was why those stories were made. Gaia was calling out to them, and they thought they were losing their minds.
"Why did I come to you? What is so different about me?"
"You are special. You have the gift. The gift no other human has. I shall unlock that gift for you to use. Now, child, this gift will be passed down to your children and their children after that, and so on. Will you accept?"
Agnes' head was spinning and she didn't know what to say, so all she did was nod.
Then she felt tingles all over her body, resonating from the heart. Agnes had no idea what was happening. All of a sudden, the tingles stopped and she felt stronger and sensed a strong force coming from inside her. She knew she had the gift.
"Now, child, in the future, there shall be great peralls and hardships, an evil shall surface that will threaten all of the world, but 5 people with the element abilities shall overcome those troubles. Those abilities are fire, water, earth, air, and lightning. Those 5 shall save us all. Pass this prophecy down to your child and their children." Agnes did not understand, but agreed anyway.
After her encounter with the mother of literally all, she left and returned home through the forest. Agnes returned home and practiced her power without telling the village. She met a man, fell in love, and got married. The man she married did not care that she had strange abilities.
Later on they had 6 children, all healthy and strong. All had an ability, all very different from one another. She told them the prophecy. Years later, they had children with magical abilities also. They told their children the prophecy also. But soon the world discovered their abilities. It was pure chaos. As magic folk were born, war raged on. Humans and magic folk, which were later named magicians, didn't get along, for humans were afraid of magicians and their power.
After a century of war, leaders of both sides came together to decide they were both done with fighting. Peace was the only option. Magicians and humans came together and lived in harmony. Four centuries have passed and everything is right with the world.
