Harry stared up at the ceiling. It had been a while after the war, and he wanted to thank Narcissa for saving his life and betraying Voldemort himself. He'd thought about writing to her, and he had written a few letters, but he'd end up tossing them in the bin. They all just seemed too awkward and uncomfortable. He sighed and took out a quill, parchment, and ink.

Dear Narcissa,
I just wanted to thank you for saving my life in the war. I know I should have written to you sooner, but I couldn't find the right words to say. You risked your life to save mine, and I will always be grateful. Hoping you are well,
-Harry James Potter

Harry sat and drifted off into space, wondering if the letter he had written would be seen. He didn't expect her to reply, but he at least wanted her to know that he hadn't forgotten about what she had done for him. After all, it's not every day that somebody risks it all to save someone. Forgetting about that event would be inconsiderate, don't you think?
