The manor was different at night. It was..strange.
Not to say it wasn't always so, but everytime the sun went down over the island something in the manor awakened. The building was naturally old, as if it were built on the very spirits and souls that first brought chaos to the universe.

Flug had long since passed out, a large blue bear curled up by his side. A single paw protected the scientist.
There were only two people who were still awake.
One of them was of course Black Hat, who never needed sleep. He adored the strange yet quiet essence of the night. Sometimes playing delightfully evil songs on his instruments or going for a late night drive.
Tonight he was having quite a tough time choosing between the two. The eldritch cursed as he shuffled through the hundreds upon hundreds of fan letters, each more strange than the last. He came across one from Him, and almost on an impulse, burned it.
"Idiots.." he grumbled.
Just as he reached for the scarlet quill on his desk there was a loud crash.
Oh for Satan's sake.
He teleported to the source of the sound and materialized, only to find a very nervous Demencia.

"Heya boss!" She spoke with a forced smile, her hair an utter mess. She didn't appear to have even bothered changing for bed.

[I]"Just what do you think you are doing?"
Black Hat scowled, looking at the pieces of broken porcelain beneath him. "Do you have any idea how many spirits I had hidden in these dishes?"

"You hide spirits in the dishes?" The lizard girl tilted her head in confusion.

[B]"There's spirits hidden in this whole house you fool"
He quickly recreated the broken plate, grabbing the wisp of green smoke that attempted to escape. It disappeared into his gloved hands with a terrified scream.
The girl in front of him watched with awe, and he couldn't help but feel a little smug at her reaction.
"Now tell me..what the bloody hell are you doing up? You know we have to attend a gala tomorrow and I swear if you show up acting like a sleep deprived lizard—"
Demencia let out a tiny lizard squeak, smiling a bit.
"....ugh"

Shrugging, the hybrid looked down for a moment. "I guess I'll just.." She leaped for the vents, only to be grabbed by a tentacle.

"Really?" Black Hat deadpanned.

"Can't blame a girl for trying"

He pulled her close, their faces just inches from each other. "Am I the reason you can't sleep~?"
His voice took a rather sultry tone, his anger buried beneath it.

He wasn't expecting the pink blush that tinted her cheeks. "Maybe.."

The eldritch blinked in surprise before setting her down. "Well whatever the case just-.." He paused, as if trying to contemplate what to say.
"Don't interrupt me"

"During what?" Her mismatched eyes looked up at him with curiosity.

He didn't answer her question as he simply growled and walked towards his wing of the mansion. Seeing as he didn't necessarily dismiss her, she took it as an opportunity to follow.
Demencia gasped as she entered an old room. A sudden chill seemed to go right to her very bones. The demon walked with a calm expression towards a single lone piano. Old black and white photos decorated the walls, they nearly seemed to be falling apart.
All of them seemed to be taken ages ago, Black Hat looked somehow younger. He wore no suit, instead something that looked more like the clothes of a hunter. There were several dozens of pictures with strange women, none of which looked human.
The lizard girl found herself so distracted that she hadn't noticed that the he'd had begun to play

[I]Birds flying high
[I]You know how I feel
[I]Sun in the sky
[I]You know how I feel
[I]Breeze driftin' on by
[I]You know how I feel

[I]It's a new dawn
[I]It's a new day
[I]It's a new life
[I]For me
[I]And I'm feeling good

Several other instruments seemed to come to life, accompanying his piano.
Demencia didn't dare speak, only sat down as she watched utterly hypnotized

[I]I'm feeling good~

[I]Fish in the sea
[I]You know how I feel
[I]River running free
[I]You know how I feel
[I]Blossom on a tree
[I]You know how I feel

[I]It's a new dawn
[I]It's a new day
[I]It's a new life
[I]For me
[I]And I'm feeling good~

As the last note hung in the air the hybrid let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. "That was..amazing" She smiled as she hesitantly walked closer to him, "You were amazing.."

Her voice sounded so soft and the compliment so genuine Black Hat found himself blushing a light green. "You tell anyone about this and I will—"

He was interrupted by a hug.

"Thank you for letting me listen.." Demencia nuzzled into his chest, mumbling, "thank you thank you thank you"
He blushed more, and much to his chagrin his chest began to vibrate. A calming sound emitted from it.
"Are you purring?" She smiled against his skin and he purred louder.

[B]"N-no!"
He growled, trying to stop
[B]"You're just hearing things!"

Demencia just giggled, "Whatever you say~~"

Black Hat grumbled as her embrace seemed to warm up his cold skin.

For once he didn't push her away.
