My final decent feast before I was fed with prisoner's garbage.

Mina's Point of View

I sometimes lost track of time down in the cells. What I used to tell time was the darkness of the cell. If it was darker than usual it was night time and when the lighting was normal then it was day. I had no visitors and I had no problem with that.

Why didn't he come though. The least he could have done was explain himself and tell me why.

On certain days I was starved while on others I was fed. Today would be the fourth day I was being starved. The walls of my stomach were cramping and crying out.

I had devised a simple plan. Though quite farfetched. On the day of my execution I would try my best to escape. If that worked I would find my mama along with my brother and we would run away from here.

If it didn't work, I hoped the money we had stashed away could help them both leave. Sighing I looked to the ceiling.

Everyday I would sing to myself. I found comfort in doing so.

Today I hummed a favorite of the future King of Arabia, Mark. It was called heaven by a man named Khalid. He was the one who taught it to me.  For a mood like mine it was fitting.

"Oh Heaven make me an offer, Lord there's nothing for me left out here, Heaven-"

The sound a loud footsteps and keys dangling interrupted me. Now this was new. I gave the person a few seconds to get to the cells and it was Astraba. He held a cloth bag in his hand.

So today was the day.... two weeks flew by quite fast it seemed.

"Mina Saleh today is your execution."

"Astraba bite me." I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer asking the Lord to watch over my family and Ms. Fatima.

Credo pulled the cell and I lunged at him. It seemed he expected it because he back handed me so hard my ears rang and I collapsed to the ground.

Credo stood above me and slammed his foot into my stomach. I cried out as the pain I was feeling there intensified from earlier.

Credo grabbed my hair from my scalped and threw me into the wall. "If you resist my lovely Miana this would only be more painful." The pain was so much I couldn't really speak.

"It's Mina."Credo came over slammed his fist into my head gagged and then bagged my face.

He grabbed and then began moving me. He yanked me to my feet by my hand and shoved me all about.

I already knew where I was going. He was taking me to the plat form. My legs felt weak and my stomach pain was not fading.

The bag was pulled from over my face but the gag was still in my mouth.

My head was shoved in place and locked in. "Mina Saleh you are being accused for stealing from the palace and conspiring with a guard to kill my daughter. If found guilty your punishment will be death along with your accomplice!" King Adabe's voice was loud and with the slight angle that I could bend my neck and the distance that I could see I knew his face was stone cold as he delivered the verdict.

I glanced beside me and saw a brown haired man with blue eyes. His mouth was gagged as well. He looked tired, beaten and broken.

He was the one they caught in the Princess's room.
