Mina's Point Of View
Mark was late. He was never late. He was always on time plus when he said he would be here he would, unfortunately he wasn't now. I continued dusting some books in the library. It was quite big and normally took an hour to be partially clean before someone else came to continue the cleaning.
I was deep in the first row when the door opened. I was about to call out if it was Mark but the sound of heels clicking stopped me.
"I have done what you've asked of me a month ago yet you're going to have him executed. Your a cold bitch Farah," The voice sounded so familiar but I couldn't place it. "You promise me he would be free by now. That you would have talked to your dad but you haven't I want what is owed to me."
The library was completely empty except for me. This cause the voice of whoever as calling the Princess's name was voicing off the walls.
"Don't you dare speak to me like that!" The Princess's voice snarled. Typical. "I am Princess Farah of Saudi Arabia and you will show me the respect I deserve. Now as for your insolent brother who would not listen to me he will be freed. However, you must visit me once more before the date of his execution or I'll make my father kill him." She sounded smug.
The man growled at her. "Fine. Once more and only once after if he's not freed you will regret it." I heard large footsteps and then the door slammed shut.
"I know you can't resist." She cackled and then heels were heard going towards the door.
I waited five minutes before going to the front of the library. What was that all about?
A look of worry crosses my face. Maybe not for the Princess but for the innocent person who might be executed.
Maybe I should tell Mark about it. As if on que the library door once more and he walked in.
"Sorry am late-" He stopped talking and looked at my face. "Is something wrong?"
And I told without hesitation. I told him about the Princess and the stranger in the library and the threats.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes I'm sure."
He took a phone out his back pocket and started tapping on it. It was the first time that I'd ever seen one. It looked so sophisticated. A rectangle looking thing with a glossy screen.
He looked up. "Your right but the person was really covered so I wouldn't know who it was."
"How-"
He turned the phone around to me and I saw the princess and the entering the room. "Can they all do this?"
"Huh?" He looked at me confused. I pointed to the phone. "Oh, Well no. It's just an app that allows me to do this."
"An app?" He scratched the back of his neck.
"Have you ever had or seen a phone before?"
"No." He took my hand a lead us to a seat.
"Would you like this one?" He held it out to me. "I could teach you how to use it."
I looked at him shocked. "I can't take your phone from you Mark. I can't use one and you need it more than I do plus what would to do with it?"
