lis 2 Sean and Daniel one-shots

1. the aftermath

Sean's pov:

I sniffled as I carry my unconscious little brother in my arms. We've been walking for hours now and Daniel still hasn't woken up yet 'come on Daniel please wake up' I thought as I looked down at Daniel. He looked so peaceful I sighed 'I wonder what his reaction would be like when I tell him about what happened to dad'. I looked up at the sky and saw that it was getting dark. 'Well I guess we should find shelter for the night' I thought. I shifted Daniel so that he was laying over my shoulder and then I continued walking deeper into the forest. I stopped at a big tree 'I guess this will be our shelter for now' I thought then I laid Daniel on the ground and quickly took my backpack off and I got some water and two bags of chips out. Then I zipped the bag back up and I gently lift up Daniel's head and put my backpack under his head then I gently laid his head back down on the backpack. I got comfortable by him and grabbed the bag of chips and start to eat it.

An hour later:

I dropped the last of the woods in front of us then I grabbed the two rocks that were by me and started to scrape them together until a little fire🔥 had started 'yes! I did it' I thought happily. Just as I was throwing the rocks aside I heard a small moan behind me. I quickly turned around facing Daniel hoping that he was finally waking up. He moaned again then I quickly crawled over to him and grabbed the water bottle and opened it. Then I put my other arm under his back and lifted his head up a bit "Daniel? come on buddy wake up" I practically pleaded.

No one's pov:

Daniel groaned as his eyes starts to open slowly. He starts to look around his vision still blurry until his blurry vision landed on a black blog. "Hey come on wake up little bro you're ok. I've got you." He heard a voice said. It sounded like it came from the black blog. He squinted his eyes to clear up on the black blog. "Hey it's ok it's me. You're ok Daniel." Ok now the voice was recognizable. 'But who's voice is it?' He thought. It took him a few minute but then his vision starts clearing up. Finally his vision cleared up and he saw his brother in front of him with a very concern look on his face. "S-Sean?" Daniel asked then he started to cough. He felt something liquid trying to go down his throat and he choked on it a little. "Hey drink it. It's ok. It's just water" he heard Sean said. He started to chug the water down Then Sean pulled it away. Daniel looked up to look at Sean "hey there buddy. you were out of it for awhile. Are you ok?" Sean softly asked him. Daniel nodded "yeah I'm ok. Thanks" he said then he looked around at his surroundings and realized that they were in a forest. "Uh Sean where are we? And where's dad?" Sean looked down at Daniel with a sad look on his face "you don't remember what happened. Do you?" Sean asked him. Daniel shook his head no Sean sighed and started telling Daniel what happened. After he was done he looked at Daniel and saw how quiet he was being "Daniel? Are you alright?" Sean softly asked him as his hands started to rub small circles on his back. "S-so h-he's r-really g-gone?" Daniel asked as his voice shook. Sean noticed and ,with a sad look, he nodded "yes he is. I'm so sorry Daniel" Daniel just started to cry. Sean pulled him into an embrace and started to whisper some comforting words into his ear. "Shhh. It's going to be ok. Don't cry" but Daniel kept on crying as Sean continued to rock him. Doing the best he could to try and comfort his little brother. "Shhh. It's ok Daniel" he whispered as he continues to rock Daniel. 'I'm going to protect you. I promise.' Sean thought as he and Daniel stayed in each other's arms all throughout the night🌙.
