Picture of Oliver^^^
A week had passed since my brother showed up at my door with Caleb and Jace. In that time, I've been working nonstop, trying to figure out what to do about this mystery man, Ashton.
I've heard that name before, but for the life of me, I can't place where from.
My gang specializes in weapons, and I stay clear of drugs. I don't support them; too many people get hurt or killed in those kinds of deals.
With weapons, it's different. We supply the best gear to other powerful gangs and mafias, and it's always a straightforward job—no games, no complications.
They know that if anyone tries to backstab me or pull a fast one, they won't make it out alive. Simple as that.
Right now, I was sitting in my office with Lily, Brooke, and Oliver.
Oliver and Brooke Hunt, twins, were two of my best fighters. They also helped train everyone in my gang. I always bring them along if I have a mission or a deal going down. While I can hold my own in a fight, it's always better to have extra protection.
I always carry my favourite weapon with me—my Glock 17 Pistol. It's semi-automatic, known for its high muzzle energy and great penetration, even with 9x19mm ammunition. Simple, reliable, lightweight, and inexpensive, I never leave the house without it.
It's also the same gun I used to kill Mason.
Brooke and Oliver are both twenty, with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes. Brooke is Lily's girlfriend, while Oliver is a bit of a playboy. Whenever he hits the club, he always brings home another girl.
Most mornings, I end up dragging them out of the house because they refuse to leave Oliver. They think they can be the one to change him, to be the girl who makes him fall in love. I swear, you'd have a better chance of seeing pigs fly than Oliver settling down with anyone.
I was sitting at my desk, going over shipment orders, when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in," I called out, not looking up from the screen.
I heard the door creak open and saw Miles step inside, his heavy footsteps barely making a sound as he closed the door behind him.
"I saw West today," he said, his tone neutral, though I could see the concern in his eyes.
Great. So he's a lot closer than I wanted him to be. Looks like I need to up the security around here.
Oliver, not even glancing up from his phone, chimed in with his usual nonchalance. "Let's just kill him. End this bullshit and move on. How hard can it be to take out one guy?"
I shot him a look, but he didn't notice. Typical.
I'll admit, Oliver's good-looking, but he's got no filter. He says whatever's on his mind without a second thought, and he couldn't care less if it offends someone. Still, he's one of my most trusted men.
The guy's all muscle, with just enough brain to be dangerous—just the way I like it.
I shot him a look, but, of course, he didn't notice. "We're not killing him. Not yet."
Oliver finally glanced up from his phone, sending me that smirk of his before returning his attention to whatever ridiculous video was playing on his screen. Classic Oliver.
I shifted my focus back to my brother, who was leaning against the wall. He looked a bit better than he had last week, but there was still something in his eyes—something that told me the weight of everything was far from gone. "I need to figure out some things about West first. That means getting in touch with Noah." I finished typing a quick email to one of the gangs Ryan and a few others were supposed to meet with later.
