The four U.A. students board the train, each of them filling sits of their choice. Uraraka and Ida sat parallel of Mina and Izuku, who was nearly about to collapse. "Deku, you alright?", Uraraka asked as she put her bag down.
"Wha? Yeah, I-I'm fine.", the tired teenage replied, trying desperately to keep his eyes open. The training they went through today was enough to make the usually tireless boy fall asleep. Mina included, as she was trying to stay awake as well. "Just tired I guess."
"Well, I advise to watch your surroundings before you go dozing—" Ida was about to finish his statement, before watching Mina doze off onto Izuku's left shoulder. "Ashido!" He unintentionally yelled at her, to little to no avail.
"Hey, keep it down, Ida. She's already fast asleep.", Izuku warned his friend.
"I guess she was pretty tired, too.", the Zero Gravity Quirk user suggested, glancing over at Mina peacefully resting.
"Yeah, I guess so...". Pretty soon, the curly haired boy was asleep himself, falling into a dreamlike state.
Ochako giggled at the two, putting in her earbuds. "Night, Deku."
XxX
"Midoriya.", Ida softly spoke to his friend, "Wake up." He gently shrugged the green haired boy, trying not to disturb the pink girl on his shoulder.
Midoriya slowly awoke, blinking a few times before seeing Ida. "Ida? What's wrong?", he asked groggily.
"Me and Ida get off on this stop, silly.", Uraraka replied with a smile. "But we really don't know where Ashido gets off at, so we're leaving that to you." With that, she and Ida left the tired duo with a wave and a smile. "Bye Deku!" Uraraka happily told him with her trademark smile.
"Wait what...?"
"Take care, you and Ashido."
Twitching his eyebrows nervously, Izuku just tiredly waved off his friends, slumping back down into his seat. "Guess that's that, huh?" He then lifted Mina up a little, trying to wake her as gently as possible. "A-Ashido," he began his sentence, "you gotta wake up."
The girl winced, trying to remain in her current dream. Groaning, Mina awoke at his soft command, stretching as she glanced at Izuku. "Ok, I'm up now. What's up, Midoriya?"
The curly-haired teen unintentionally stared at the Acid Quirk user, lost in her sleepy eyes. Mina saw this, prompting the boy to blush a little. "I-I was wondering w-w-where your next s-s-stop was at i-i-is a-all...", the shy boy stutters, doing his best not to turn around in shyness. He was met at first with silence, the small distance between the two not making the situation any better for Izuku. 'Did I say something wrong?' the green-haired teenager worries as Mina stays quiet for a moment. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead, unsure of what to do. However, at that exact point in time, a soft smile spread across Mina's pink face.
"You're so adorable, Izuku."
'Wait what?!' Midoriya was a blushing mess at this point, trying to process the very words that Ashido had told him.
Apparently he wasn't alone, seeing as a dark lilac blush covered the pink girl's face as well. Both parties turned away in embarrassment, unsure of how to come back from this moment.
"I...I didn't mean that, Midoriya.", the pink-skinned says, her blush stained on her face.
"W-What? You didn't mean..."
"W-W-Wait, I-I didn't mean you weren't adorable—I-I-I-I mean as a friend!" Mina sighs softly, finally answering Midoriya's question. "My stop is the next one after this." Izuku looks shocked for a moment, making Mina raise an eyebrow at him. "What's wrong?"
"Y-You said the next stop, right?"
"Yeah..."
"That's my stop, too."
Mina smirks, not believing what she just heard from her classmate. "Really now? And to think we lived so close this whole time.", the teenage girl chuckles, calming Midoriya just enough to forget his initial worry.
The next 20 minutes were filled with silence, not out of fear or stress but simple joy. Both Izuku and Mina got off of the crowded train, the two diverting ways as they waved goodbye to each other.
"Have a nice day, Ashido!" Izuku yells excitedly, though he really wanted to spend more time with his classmate.
"You too! And hey..."
"Hm?" Izuku paused, stopping his movement for the moment, giving Ashido all the attention she wanted. "W-What is it, Ashido?"
Mina looks at him with a smile, "Call me Mina okay, Izuku? Only if you want to, though."
The timid boy blushed uncontrollably, his heart nearly about to explode out of his chest. "S-Sure thing."
