Yoongi was getting up late as usual. The sun had already scream long enough but was blocked by the thick gray curtain. But living alone gives him the advantage of none telling him what's right and what's wrong. He can wake up late, take a short piss and afterwards he can go lay back to his bed.
Aha, if only that was only to it. Unfortunately he still needs to eat and not starve to death.
Good thing he bought a quick coffee machine. All he need to do was to stamp his coffee and add hot water for his morning americano to be his ready breakfast. He knows it's not efficient and not healthy for his tummy but perhaps his body has adapted this life style long enough to tolerant it.
While his coffee was ready, his eyes sharply turns towards the multiple papers that scattered around his work desk, or more precisely his drafts of designs that he had yet finish last night.
"Due tomorrow." The mark on his calendar tells him. Circle in red, large enough to be spotted from afar.
But wasn't tomorrow today..?
He loudly groans as he sets his coffee next to the papers he scattered. He fucked up real good
"Why couldn't I finished this yesterday?!" His mechanical pencil furiously draws any patterns he could come up with.
"Because you were busy making me happy."
Yoongi lives with no one, except for one 'person' that used to be alive.
"If only you were quiet and moved to the afterlife I would have the best of my life."
"Awww But you couldn't have a sad ghost hanging am I right?"
To the naked eye he speaks with no one, he might as well talk to the plotted plant because at least that's considered a living organism. Yet, he's speaking to an actual ghost all unbelievably transparent to no one but Yoongi.
Yoongi decided to ignore the ghost furthermore so he could get in class on time and hand in his works without passing the limited time.
Waking up late as he is at 9, he has class at 10 which is definitely not a good way to start his day. Unfortunately there will always be distractions and that distraction is doing his job, making his life more miserable.
"I can't work with you leaning in my shoulder. Can you go and float somewhere else?"
The ghost that's been hanging around inside him has proclaimed to be named Jung Hoseok.
Yoongi wasn't a medium nor a channel or at least that's what he had thought. He has never encountered something so odd in his life. This would be his first and only time to encounter one.
A ghost.
And it's a happy one at that too. Are the dead supposed to be happy?
"I'm bored and I like to see you draw" Seeing structures of the room carefully drawn without ugly trace Mark was refreshing and beautiful. He's never seen someone drawn to neatly.
Hoseok claimed to be a ghost who died not long ago but he wasn't sure what made the cause and he didn't know why he decided to attach himself to Yoongi either. He always said that he doesn't feel comfortable leaving him for more than an hour, kinda like a magnetic force. With Yoongi being the only person who can see him, it's no wonder he likes to play jokes on him.
All this coop up stress was getting into Yoongi's brain cells that probably led up to his mind thinking an imaginary friend named Hoseok existed. Or maybe it was his contrasting happy alter ego that he had long forgotten? He doesn't know and currently he doesn't care.
But of course if Hoseok really is a ghost, he didn't want to anger him that he'd curse him. He's read a few fantasies books that he never thought would be useful, probably not but ghosts are too scary to be ignored. He doesn't want hex and purple glob to eat him alive which is why most of the part he agrees to play.
Which explains why they've been playing rock, paper, scissor all night long.
"Hey let's play hide and seek~" Yoongi could snap his pen for him to press his own anger but he didn't because he still needs it.
"After I get back from college ."
Hoseok pouts as he floats and lands on Yoongi's bed, feeling it and tries to make a mess of it before failing to do as he passes through it. It's understandable why he's bored most of the time.
Yoongi was busy finishing the last thing he should do before cleaning up his mess. But without warnings, he can see Hoseok's finger coming in from the side with a poke and pinch over his soft cheeks, amused afterwards.
"What was that for?!" Yoongi rubs his one sided now red cheeks.
"I was just testing this ghost thing." He tried touching the table yet went through it. "I can touch you but I can't touch anything that isn't categorized a living being."
Hoseok steps closer to Yoongi. "I can even do this!" He hugs him from behind, smiling and grinning like the happiest dork in the universe.
He really is a happy ghost. On contrary Yoongi's living self, he's not as happy.
Hoseok was almost like human to be touching him, he found odd that an imaginary friend has the capability of doing that. In fact, even the ghosts in books can't do that. Perhaps he's neither.
"I'm going to get my assignments print out so I'm leaving early." Early seems to be more ironic since his class will start soon. Yoongi wasn't sure why he needed to inform Hoseok about that when it's best to ignore him although Hoseok was happy he wasn't ignored.
He doesn't know the kind of face he'll make when he's sad but he's too scared to see what's against nature.
"Can I come?" Yoongi shrugs as a response to him but Hoseok took it as a yes.
Later on, Yoongi felt with Hoseok's radioactive happiness, he also felt a bit comfy with his presence. He might even get used to it and finally knows what it means to not live alone.
