Harry and Ginny after the War

Andromeda and Teddy

A/N

Hey guys!!!! So, this is the second chapter. I know that my chapters are a bit shorter than other stories but they will get longer as we get into the story.

Chapter 2

Ginny walked out of the shop with a beautiful grey owl under her arm. When she spotted Harry she saw he had two long thin packages in his hands. "This is for you," he said handing her one of the packages.

"And this is for you," she said handing him the cage containing an owl.

He stared at her for a brief second and said, "Gin you didn't have to-"

"Harry I wanted to."

"Okay." Harry smiled weakly taking the cage.

"Start thinking of a name Potter I'm expecting one by tomorrow"

...

That evening Harry talked to Ginny about Teddy. "I really want to know if I'm going to be taking care of Teddy"

"And I really want to meet him."

"Well then it's settled we are going to meet Andromeda tomorrow"

Harry said letting his new owl out of his cage, he had decided to name him Elwin.

"Hey bud," he said to the owl " do you think you could deliver this for me?" Harry attached a letter to the owl's feet. On the front, it contained Andromeda's address. As Harry opened the window Elwin stretched out his wings and flew off into the distance.

...

The next morning Harry saw Elwin waiting at the window with a letter attached to his foot, it read;

Dear Harry,

I will be coming over to talk about Teddy

Sincerely,

Andromeda.

"Ginny!" Harry shouted.

"Yes!"

" Andromeda's coming today"

"Okay!"

"Can everyone please stop shouting!" said Ron angrily.

...

Andromeda apparated into the burrow

"Hello," said Andromeda

"Hello," Harry and Ginny said in unison.

"Please take a seat, so you wanted to talk about Teddy I believe?"

"Yes" replied Harry

" You are his godfather I believe."

"Yes I am and I'm quite sure that as his godfather I am meant to be taking care of him, so I wanted to ask you if I am meant to be taking care of him."

"Well, I believe Remus and Nymphadora would have wanted you to take care of him if anything were to happen to them."

"Great so when can you bring him home?"

"Well, Harry I just wanted to ask you where you will be staying."

"Oh, um... I guess I'll be staying at number 12 Grimmauld place"

"Right then, I'll be seeing you on Monday."
