Kyandi's POV:

"Hey, Bakugou, can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked as I looked down at my feet, avoiding his intense ruby gaze.

"What the fuck do you want to talk about? Didn't insult me enough yesterday?" His voice was harsh, but he wasn't shouting or overly aggressive this time.

"Actually, I wanted to talk to you about yesterday at lunch." I fiddled with my fingers, hoping that my softer tone would keep him from getting too upset with me.

"What about it?" He asked as he leaned back in his chair, forcing me to look at him.

"I wanted to apologize for what I said. Iida had just really ruffled my feathers and I was upset. I didn't mean what I had said to you."

"It's whatever. You were probably right anyways." He just shrugged.

"Um...okay. Thank you."

(Later on the way to lunch.)

"Bakugou, you did such a good job today! I would've been terrified to go up against Todoroki-kun." I gushed as I walked beside him in the hall.

"The old half and half bastard? It was nothing, there's no way he would beat me." A smirk graced his face as he basked in my compliments.

"Yeah, you're probably right. I bet you're the strongest in our whole class." I smiled as we walked into the cafeteria.

"Alright, I'm gonna go get some food from Lunch Rush. You coming?" He asked as he pointed to the short line of students.

"No thanks, I brought my own again." I said, waving around my packed lunch.

"You want me to bring you anything? All that sweet shit has got to get old really fucking fast." He rolled his eyes.

"Can you just bring me something spicy? I love spicy foods." I smiled over at him.

"Of course." He gave me an oddly malicious smirk before disappearing into the line with the rest of the group. I made my way to the table, pulling out my lunch. I had packed a fruit salad today instead of Swiss Rolls and sugary cereal. It's a healthier alternative.

"Here you go, you little cavity." Bakugou sighed as be placed a bowl in front of me. He seemed oddly content with giving me my food and that's when I smelt it. There was a heavy smell of spice wafting up from the bowl. He was just waiting for me to burn myself with this.

I took my spoon, getting a generous amount on it, and placed it in my mouth. His eyes watched me expectantly, but his smirk fell to the floor when I looked him right in the eye and asked, "Can you hand me that pepper?"

"What the hell? You can't be fucking serious!  That is as hot as Lunch Rush would make it! How are you not fucking dying?" He asked angrily as he shot up from his seat.

"What, were you expecting me to burn myself and wuss out?" I questioned, shooting an apprehensive glare in his direction.

"Of fucking course I was! Why else would I be so upset about it? It was supposed to be fucking funny!" He slumped down in his seat, obviously frustrated at his failed attempt.

"Here, Tachan, try this hot chocolate Kaminari and I made for you!" Mina said, handing me a thermos.

I took a large swig from the metal container before spitting it all out all over my side of the table. I gagged as the horrible salty taste assaulted my tastebuds.

"What the hell did you idiots do to her?" Bakugou asked as he snatched the thermos from me, taking a generous swig before making a horrid face, but swallowing it nonetheless.

I reached over and stole Bakugou's water bottle and took a few large gulps from it. Finally, the taste left my mouth and I placed the bottle back onto Bakugou's tray.

"Sorry about that, Bakugou." I whispered.

"Don't worry about it. Just don't touch my shit again without asking." He said as he immediately picked up the bottle, chugged what was left inside. "As for you assholes, pull some shit like that again, and I'll kick your asses for her."

"Bakubro you just tried to do basically the same thing." Kirishima pointed out to him.

"A little bit of spice is not the same thing as a mouth full of salt, shitty hair." He rolled his eyes as he began to eat his lunch and I began cleaning up the salty mess I had made.

"I don't see how there is that much of a difference." Kirishima mumbled as he crossed his arms.

"Oh, really? Then, why don't you take a long ass sip from this bottle, huh?" Bakugou said, extending the thermos out to Kirishima.

"No thanks." Kirishima threw up his hands in front of his face.

"Well, let me rephrase that. Take a drink from it before I shove the whole thing down your fucking throat." He growled as he thrusted the bottle into Kirishima's hands. "That goes for the rest of you damn extras too."

"Hey, Bakugou!" I shouted as I ran over to him.

"What is it you fucking cavity?" He asked, hands shoved into his pockets.

"I was just wondering if I could walk with you today? Ochako would normally walk with me, but she's hanging out with Deku-kun and Iida-kun this afternoon." I said as I unwrapped a lollipop and shoved it in my mouth, offering on to Bakugou who snatched it from me.

"I don't even know where you live?" He said as he popped the candy in his mouth. He actually seemed a bit calm for once. Almost like he was this morning.

"I live down the road from you. I saw you on my way to school this morning. I was going to say hi, but you had headphones in." I shrugged as we walked.

"Well, I guess there's nothing that's going to stop you from walking with me, so, why the fuck not?"

"Yay! Thanks, Bakugou!" I threw my arms around him, but immeadiately took a few steps back as he looked ready to blow my face off. "Sorry."

We walked in silence for a while, not really even looking at each other as we walked. There was an awkwardness that hung in the air, but I couldn't tell whether he could feel it or not. By the unbothered look on his face, I was starting to think it was just me.

"Why are you being so fucking nice to everyone?" He kept his eyes focused straught ahead as he questioned me.

"I just want to make people happy. Even a nice word or a good conversation can really make someone's day." I said, stealing glances at him out of the corner of my eye.

"You know that you can't make everyone happy, right? It's not all lovey dovey, shitty peace on Earth crap all the time." He shot me an angry look out the corner of his eye.

"Oh trust me, I know I can't make everyone happy, and that terrifies me. I know the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, that's why I want to be a hero." I said as I stared at the ground.

Trust me Bakugou, I know...

(Quick question: Should I make my chapters longer? I feel like I'm kinda letting you down on the delivery with these short chapters. I don't know... Let me know what you think! This goes for all of my books, so, if you'd like longer chapters, I can try to get more done with all three that I'm working on right now!)
