I walked over to Sydney and poked her.

"Hmm" she grumbled and I poked her again. She looked up at me with a confused look.

"Why are you crying?"

Shit. I was crying?

"I-I don't know why I'm crying..."

"Tell me"

"I kissed him"

"Greyson?"

"No! God no! I know you like him"

"No, I don't..."

"Yes you do"

"Anyway, what's wrong?"

"I kissed Lannan"

"Yay!" she said happily and I shook my head.

"What is it?! Did he touch you!" she said with a gasp. I laughed lightly and shook my head again.

"I'm scared"

"Why?"

"Cause I think I like him"

"Awwww"

"Again, awwww"

"Uh, is this a bad time?" Lannan said looking down at the ground.

"Yes" "No"

I looked at Sydney who rolled her eyes.

"Well we're gonna go hiking soon so...get ready"

"Winter needs to t-" Sydney started but I clasped my hand over her mouth.

"No, I don't Lannan. Now bye" I said bitterly and he walked out.

"Winter! What was that!"

"I rather tell him myself. When I'm ready"

"Whatever," she said and got dressed.

She wore a long sleeve green blue shirt and black leggings while I wore green leggings and a white grey halter cropped tank top.

"Ready?" Sydney asked grabbing a bag.

I nodded and walked out. We got to the bus and I sat down quietly. Everyone was looking at me and Lannan looked at me quickly and looked back down.

"I bet you he touched her and she didn't want it so now he hates her"

I felt an anger built up inside me. I don't know why but I was seriously pissed.

"Don't Winter. Let it go"

I took a deep breath and Grey got up sitting between me and Syd.

"I want you to know that he feels pretty crappy. Like really really bad"

"What do you know"

"Because I haven't seen him that happy when he's with you. Now he looks and feels crappy. I told you this"

I rolled my eyes.

"He doesn't care"

"Yeah, he does"

"No Greyson, he doesn't"

"Then why is he slowly punishing himself?"

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know but something isn't right with him. I suggest you talk"

"See Win, I was right. He does care" Sydney said butting in.

I saw Greyson's eyes soften then turned cold. I gave him a look and he shook his head. He got up and walked back up to the front.

"I think he hates me," Sydney said and I just laughed and looked back out the window.

We arrived at the hiking site and Lannan sent us all a smile. This is gonna be fun.

"I hope you all packed some extra clothes because we're gonna camp here for a few days"

"Shit" I muttered and Sydney laughed.

"I packed some clothes for you"

"Thank God you're alive. I don't know what I'd do without you"

"You'd lose your head if it weren't for me"

I laughed lightly and nodded.

"Most likely"

She laughed and we continued to walk. Moments later we were halfway up the hill when Sydney poked me.

"What!" I snapped and she rolled her eyes.

"Go talk to him"

"No"

She rolled her eyes again and pushed me a bit. My clumsy self-slipped and before I fell someone picked me up.

"Careful love"

I looked up and saw Lannan. I took a deep breath.

"Can we talk?"

"Aren't we talking now?"

"Dumbass, I meant alone"

"Sure," he said laughing.

We walked away and I looked up at him then away.

"What happened I'm sorry. It won't happen again"

"Lannan, you're nice and all but I rather stay friends"

"Alright. Friends it is" he laughed.

I smiled but then we heard a loud piercing scream. Lannan and I looked at each other with wide eyes. Both of us knew where that scream came from.

"Oh God"
