A Liam Payne Love Story

Chapter 6

LIAM POV:

“Uh…What just happened?” I asked, utterly confused.

“Well, we being the loving and curious lads you know, we decided to get Rachel to confess her true feelings, which she did!” Louis stated.

“Well thanks guys, now I know she only likes me as a friend, more like a brother. I was stupid to fall in love with her…”

“WHOA! In love with her?!” The boys all shouted.

“Maybe…”

“Dude, you have to tell her.” Niall said.

“I can’t; what if she doesn’t want me…I can’t lose her forever.”

“She likes you! So hike you your skirt and ask her out.” Harry exclaimed.

“Just drop it guys.” I said, before turning around and walking away from the four boys.

I wish the boys would just stop. I know she doesn’t like me. I don’t want to ask her out and then get rejected. That would possibly break my heart. I just needed to get over my feelings for her.

As if my mind was read, Danielle texted me.

From Danielle: Uh, hey Li. I am on a dance tour and we are in Melbourne right now. I was wondering if we could meet up and talk?

I quickly replied.

To Danielle: Yeah sure. The bus is stopped for the next five hours. We are close to a hotel called The Ritz, and a Starbucks. Is that close to you?

From Danielle: Yeah, I know where you are. Meet up in 15?

To Danielle: Sure, see you there.

I walked into the Starbucks fifteen minutes later. I saw Danielle sitting in a booth. I walked over to her and sat down.

“Hey Liam, I’m glad you came.”

“Uh yeah, what is it you wanted to talk about.” I said, just wanting to get to the point.

“I miss you Liam. I miss being with you. I know that you’re in love with that Rachel girl, but I love you and I know you love me. Maybe not as much as her, but I wanna be with you. From what I hear she is not really in love with you, am I right?

Sigh, everything she said was true. I did love Danielle, I just didn’t love her the way I loved Rachel. And Rachel didn’t love me, so why live my life waiting for someone who will never want me back. “You are right Danielle…everything you said…is true.”

“So, does this mean we’re back together?”

“Yeah, it does. And I do love you Danielle, but I will always love Rachel. Always. But I need to get over her. And I don’t want you to feel like I’m just trying to use you but I’m not, I-“

She cut me off. “Liam! I get it. It’s okay. Now, you wanna show me your tour bus?”

RACHEL POV:

Me and the boys, all except for Liam were heading back from the closest mall. We didn’t know where Liam went so we went without him. We were chased by the fans. The boys protected me because I guess they figured I would be scared. I kind of was, even though a part of me thought it was fun. We  reached back to the bus with our security right behind us. When we walked in my heart sank.

On the couch was Liam and Danielle, making out. Niall coughed and they immediately stopped and looked up at us. I looked into Liam’s eyes and his expression almost looked like he felt guilty. I quickly looked away and at Danielle, she looked happy, but when she looked at me, she just glared. I felt tears build in my eyes, but I blinked them away.

“Care to explain, Liam?” Harry said. He sounded furious, almost.

“Uh, well, me and Danielle are back together.” Liam said, making Danielle giggle.

“Oh.. I see.” Harry says weakly. He then grabs my hand and pulls me into the back room of the bus. All of the boys except Liam follows. I looked back at him and Danielle one more time. They had resumed kissing. I guess he doesn’t have feelings for me. That wasn’t a shocker though, I always knew it.

“I cant believe he’s back with her!” Harry whisper yells.

“Why are you so shocked? She’s beautiful, a dancer, basically what lots of guys want. Maybe the last time she broke up with him she was wrong, cause he obviously loves her.” I state.

“No! Rachel can’t you see it?! He’s in LOVE with YOU! I don’t know what he’s doing with her, but he doesn’t love her like he loves you.” Niall says.

“You’re wrong guys, so please, just let it go.

It was about an hour later when Liam walked through the door into the back room of the bus. His hair was messed slightly. Seeing him made a lump in my throat form. My eyes met his and I quickly looked away. I couldn’t be in the same room as him without tears forming in my eyes. I couldn’t just walk out and leave though. I would just have to stay strong for what I’m about to say. My heart is about to break into a million pieces.

“I’m happy for you…and Danielle.” I mutter out. The boys look at me shocked and Liam gives me a sad smile.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I excused myself from the room and went to my bunk. I closed the curtain and silently cried.

LIAM POV:

“So, what’s up guys?” I ask.

They look at me like I’m the biggest douche bag in the world.

“Really, Liam? Really? You got back with Danielle, even after you finally admitted your feelings for Rachel.”

“She texted me, and she asked to get back together and I said yes. Yeah, I love Rachel, but she doesn’t love me. So I had to move on. I cant hold on to a girl who doesn’t feel for me the way I feel for her. It will just break my heart in the end.” I state, proud of my answer.

Niall and Harry just shake their heads, while Zayn and Louis look disappointed.

“Whatever, mate.” Niall says.

 “I’m pretty sure the only heartbroken one right now, is Rachel.” Zayn mutters. The other boys nod, agreeing with him.

I shrug and walk away it couldn’t be true. It couldn’t. 

:O he's back with Dani!  K so, I know in real life him and Danielle never broke up but for the purpose of this story, ths needed to happen. I ship Liam and Danielle in real life.
