As I turned the corner onto Oliver Street I see a McDonalds and realize that I am hungry. I reach into my backpack and grab out some of the money I 'got' from father.
"Melaine are you hungry too?"
"Meow"
"Ok, then it's settled. We are buying McDonald's!"
"Meow?"
"Don't worry Melaine! I will get you some water and a burger too."
"Meow!"
I count the money and there are at least Twenty-five dollars in cash. I looked around for a good hiding spot and found an abandoned house. I put the money in my backpack put it on my back and grabbed my suitcases and ran inside the house. I looked around and found a wooden staircase. I ran to that and opened a door on the staircase and looked inside.
"Webs... lots and lots of webs..."
"Mreow"
"It will have to do for now..."
I shoved my suitcases in the closet and closed the door. I ran outside and across the street to McDonald's. I walk up to the counter and wait for my order to be taken.
"Hello! Welcome to McDonald's. How may I help you?"
she is really cheery... it's kinda annoying...
"Ummm... I would like two cheeseburgers and two drinks of water, please"
"Ok! that would be $3.19!"
"Ok.."
"hey.. wanna tell me what's wrong?"
"No.."
"I'll give you the food for free?"
"Fine.."
"Ok! Meet me outside!"
"Alright.."
I walked outside and stood there. I sighed and closed my eyes.
