I watched as the butterfly fluttered it's wings while resting on my finger. I stared at it deep in thought. what does a butterfly taste like? Do the butterflies think that leaves taste good? what would it be like to be a butterfly? I kept thinking these things over and over again in my head. I really wanted to know what a butterfly tasted like... I quickly shoved the butterfly in my mouth. I felt it trying to escape. I chewed the butterfly and swallowed it.
"Bleh!" I exclaimed
"What? Did you see a dead animal?"
"No.."
"Then what?"
"well... I ate a butterfly"
"Oh Ewwwww"
"Never again..."
Isabelle grabbed a stick and moved it around on the ground. I saw Sade nearby crouching low to the ground. Isabelle moved the stick back and forth. Sade crawled slowly toward the stick and when she was close enough she pounced. Isabelle yanked the stick up before Sade could get it and Sade would look around confused and run off toward Zander and attack him. Isabelle would fall to the ground laughing. I chuckled a little.
"That was funny!"
"It was"
"I'm hungry"
"Ok. I have a few bucks on me. we could get some hot dogs at the stand over there"
"Yay Hot dogs!"
I walked over to the hot dog stand and waited in line. There was a boy in front of me. He had Blonde hair and he was wearing a red shirt and ripped jeans he had on white Nikki shoes and a red baseball cap.
"Next please"
I walked up to the counter and asked for eight hot dogs and paid the man behind the counter fifteen dollars. I walk back to the tree where Isabelle was sitting and playing with the cats.
"Yay Hot dogs!"
"The two plain hot dogs are for Melaine and her kittens"
"Got it!"
I handed Isabelle two hot dogs with ketchup and mustard. I sat on the ground and ripped up the two plain hot dogs and gave it to Sade, Zander, and Melaine. I unwrapped one of my hotdogs that had just ketchup on it and took a bite.
After I finished both of my hot dogs I got up and stretched.
"I going to walk around for a little you stay here and watch the stuff. There is a taser in the suitcase only use it if someone comes and tries anything"
"Got it!"
I walked to the deck and sat down on it. I let my feet dangle in the water. I watched as a mama duck lead her baby ducks through the water. I watched all the little fishies swim around. I spotted a turtle sunbathing on a r-
"Hi there"
I sighed and turned around.
"Hello"
"Um.. beautiful"
I stared at him. It was the same guy at the hot dog stand.
"Err I mean the pond life"
"Yes. I know and it is beautiful"
"So uh.. I'm Eliot"
Eliot..? he has a accsent...
"Hello Eliot, I'm Kagome"
He had this smile on his face and I felt tingly inside.
"Nice to meet you, Kagome"
"Nice to meet you too, Eliot"
"How long will you be staying here?"
"until tomorrow. I'm going to my grandma's"
"Oh. where are your mom and dad?"
"My mom died during birth and my dad... My dad died during a shift as a police officer" The tingly feeling is gone... but I had to lie... I couldn't tell him what father did to me...
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that.."
"It's ok"
"Well... um... would you uh... like to um... stay at my place for the night and my mom could drive you to your grandma's in the morning?"
"Sure. But... I have m... uhhh... my cousin with me... and my three cats"
"Ok they can come along too" His smile got even bigger and that tingly feeling was back again...
