Her P.O.V

David and me decided I would move into his house since it was more fit for two people. Even though Iggy already lived with him. So, Since I agreed to the bet I just shut up and moved in. The bet was we had to act as if nothing had happened and be together again for 1 whole month. I still couldn't do that fully though, I still felt sad looking at someone who had fallen into something as horrible as he had done.

Nothing happened the first two days. They both stayed on there sides of the bed and made some awkward talk in the stare time they had. She went to the studio with him well he recorded and worked on her computer well listening to him.

I walked in as he read a book in his soft armchair in his reading glasses. Thinking back of what we use to do I grab a book and sit in the armchair next to him. Only I dont read. I just think of all the shit he put me through in those years.

He stops reading and puts his book down to look at her pale face with the same down expression as always.

"Hey.." He whispers and tilts my chin to look at him, "Lighten up. Don't look at me as the man who fucked up. Im not that person. That wasn't me. No more drugs for me. Look at me as David and not Duke." She nods and he keeps going. "I quit for you. I quit so we could be this again. So please. Even if you don't want to let me have this one fucking month with you looking at me like you don't think im the biggest fuck up there is-." His voice cracks at the end and he gives a stern look at her. As if demanding her to remember them meeting and him saving her life. Demanding her to remember how much he saved her. Demanding her to finally open herseld to him even if she was scared. Just his eyes brought her back to everything.

Flashback to when they first met in 6th grade

They pushed her to the ground as she tried to stand up over and over. Everyone watched day after day as it got worse. Thats when David finally did something.

"Fuck off I just want to get to class!" She yells as she smacks them away. Just as she got pushes a boy her age punches one of them. They yell and look flustered and they hold there nose.

David crouched down and helps her pick up her books.

"David, David Jones."

FLASHBACK to when they were 18

"David im doing it." She whispers as they got out of the school and were almost home.

"No your not. Were living together. I'll sit with you all night if I have to. Your staying breathing. Your staying with me." He says gently but stern as he holds her hand tightly. Her face scrunched up a little as she felt anger burning in her chest. She just walked until they got home.

"It's cruel to make me stay!" She yells just as they walked into there apartment. She threw her bag on the couch and sits down well huffing.

He just leans on the door after closing it well she sat starring at the ground as despair set in and the anger left.

"Its so so cruel..." She whispers softly well tearing up.

He walks to her and with two fingures lifts her chin up. "Then I quess im cruel."

*end of flashback*

"Fine. Nothing happened. For this month I'll try to believe that. Ok?" She snaps. He looked at her with a expression that could break part of anyones heart. He opens his mouth to talk but just shuts it.

"I'll go make dinner." He says finally then walks off.

"David wait!" She yells before she can stop herself. He turns on his heel and looks back at her.

"Yes, darling?" He looks at her up and down trying to read her.

She stand up and walks twords him. She then hugs him. His body tenses as he remembers everytime he fucked up, but along with that he remembered every smile. Laugh. Conversation. He looked down at her. She wasn't forgetting the bad and Instead remebering the good.

He wraps his arms around her and rests his chin on her head.

"Ive missed my baby." He smirks. She couldn't help but smile at how happy he was. Seeing that smirk used to make her days better, used to lighten the mood, and used to make her feel as if he would never smirk truely for anyone but her.
