Sofie and Brad were expecting Kirstie, James and Connor today.
"Tris and Hope won't come?" Brad asked while laying his head in Sofie's lap. They were watching the TV. Sofie was playing with Brad's curls while the boy was laying on the couch with his head in her lap, just watching the TV.
"Nope. They want to go out, just the two of them." Sofie told him.
"It's really fucked up. Not seeing Connor and Summer suck each other's faces." Brad said, making Sofie chuckle.
"Yeah. It's weird." Sofie nodded in agreement. Suddenly, they heard Eli crying and they both looked at the stairs.
"I'll take care of her." Sofie said. Brad sat up, letting Sofie walk upstairs and feed Eloise.
The doorbell rang and Brad opened it, revealing Kirstie and James.
"Hey guys." Brad smiled, shaking hands with James and hugging Kirstie.
"Hey. Where's Sofie?" Kirstie asked, walking inside the house.
"She's up, feeding Eli." Brad pointed towards the stairs.
"I'm right here." Sofie ran down with Eli in her hands who was drinking milk from her bottle.
"Hey girl." Kirstie hurried towards her, giving her a kiss on the cheeks and stroking Eli's cheek carefully.
"Hey." James hugged her, smiling down at Eli.
"Where's Con?" Sofie asked.
"He'll be here in a few minutes." James replied. Both Sofie and Brad nodded, walking into the living room with Kirstie and James.
"How is the planning going?" Sofie asked.
"It's going great. We have to choose the invitations. Will you come with me?" Kirstie smiled at Sofie, who nodded.
"And I have to talk to the chef." James rolled his eyes.
"How many people are gonna be there?" Brad asked.
"Around seventy or eighty." James replied. Sofie and Brad looked at each other.
"You said only close friends and family members." the younger girl spoke up.
"I know, but my mom insisted on calling my uncle and aunt too, which means their kids will be there." Kirstie rolled her eyes, making Sofie chuckle.
"How many kids do they have?" Brad's eyes widened.
"I think five." Kirstie replied.
"Jesus." all three of them said in unison.
They talked for a while until Connor came. Sofie opened the door, hugging the boy and letting him in.
"Now we can go on that walk." Connor smiled at all of them, then looked down at Eli. "Can I hold her?"
"Sure." Brad nodded, giving him Eli. Connor smiled, taking the baby away from her father. Eli just looked up at him, then started playing with his necklace.
Sofie and Brad looked at each other with small smiles on their faces.
"He's a natural." Sofie mouthed to her husband, who just nodded.
All of them walked out of the house. Connor put Eli in her stroller, pushing it while the two couples walked behind him.
"Con, you're a natural." Sofie chuckled. Connor turned his head and shook a smile towards the younger girl.
"I took care of a few babies before." Connor shrugged, turning his head back.
"You'd be a good dad, mate." James patted his shoulder.
"I hope you're not saying this only to make me feel better." Con joked, making all of them laugh.
"Of course not." Brad shook his head.
"How is she so calm?" Connor looked down at Eloise.
"She got that from Sofie." Brad shrugged.
"I'm pretty sure she got it from you." Sofie looked at Brad. They started fighting over this as James and Kirstie walked next to Connor and tried to cheer him up.
"Okay, lovebirds, that's enough. She got it from Sofie, now can you be quiet?" James turned around to the married couple. Sofie raised an eyebrow while Brad smiled victoriously.
"I told you." Brad whispered in Sofie's ear, which made the girl hit him in the arm.
They walked towards the park which was near Sadley's house and stopped at the lake. They sat down. Sofie took Eli in her lap, pointing to the ducks that were swimming around in the lake. Eli just smiled, clapping her hands.
"She's cute." Kirstie said.
"Like Sofie." Brad smiled sweetly. Sofie looked up at him and shook him the same smile.
They sat there for a few hours before walking back to the married couple's house.
"I have to go, but talk to you later." Connor said, hugging everyone.
"I'll walk you out." Sofie handed Eli to Brad and walked after Connor.
"Thanks for this day." Connor smiled.
"You're welcome." Sofie smiled back. "I know it's hard for you right now because I saw how much you loved Summer. But trust me, she already regrets her decision. I hope you two will date again." Sofie smiled.
"Yeah, I hope so too." Connor nodded sadly. "What do you mean she already regrets it?" he furrowed his eyebrows.
"She loves you. More than anything. She just...needed time. But it's not my place to tell you these. Talk to her."
"I will. Thank you." Connor nodded with a sad smile and walked away. Sofie closed the door, walking back into the living room and sitting down between Kirstie and James.
"What did you tell him?" Brad asked.
"What I needed to tell him." Sofie smiled, giving Brad a peck on the lips.
