(I wrote something about this, but it just deleted -_- SOOOO I don't know if this will be as good as the other one I wrote, but oh well.)

(I found it. I was confused. It's all good)

Her throat tightened. She couldn't breathe.

"Why are they spilling our blood?" She wondered. "Why are they painting themselves with it and parading about the streets, wearing it like a trophy?"

She broke away from the crowd, into a dark, lonely alley. She slid down the wall, clutching her chest, as she tried to breathe.

"Why did I accept this?" She thought to herself. "Why did I agree to come into hostile territory? Even when I knew war was almost here?!"

She shook away the questions and focussed on breathing. When she could do so again, she got up, dawned her cloak's hood, and headed back toward her temporary home.
