avoiding justin had been both an easy and hard thing to do. i could go a day without seeing him and then seeing him the next day with his new boytoy attached to his side.

and based on what everyone had been saying, tanner had transferred to another school within the week he had found out about justin and i.

he had finally realized justin's true intentions with him and left before he could get used again.

lucky for him that he could transfer since he has another year left. i only had a month or two now.

and before any of us could have realized, spring break had creeped up on us. and soon enough, prom would be nearing.

"so, what are we doing for spring break?" ashley spoke up suddenly and we all shrugged. she rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone.

"well, since no one has any ideas, i have a few written down." she said and i rolled my eyes. of course she had some written down.

"ashley, you have too much free time for you to be able to think of anything to do during spring break." i said and she rolled her eyes again.

"and? what's wrong with that?" she said and raised an eyebrow at me.

"i'm just saying, you have too much time to think of a list of things to do for two weeks. break is only two weeks, not two months." i said and she shrugged.

"well, i'm not saying we have to do all of them. just some of the ones that sound best." she said and i sighed. there was no way to get her to understand.

"okay then, what are we doing next week?" joe said and she smiled.

"well, i was thinking..." the second she started talking, i tuned her out. i would eventually know what that list had, but for now, i just wanted today to end.

today was our last and then we go on spring break and i wanted that to be here already. our whole group needed a break from the drama here.

"she planned what we were doing today, and she calls that she's sick. it's been two days since we last saw her and she looked fine then." joe said and i groaned.

"so what now? are we going or not?" i asked as i stared at my ceiling.

"i don't know. she said to go without her if she doesn't feel better in an hour. she was going to take a nap and then call me." he said i sighed.

"alright then. but in the meantime, you should come over so that i don't die of boredom." i said and he chuckled.

"i guess i can... i do need to talk to you about something." he said and i sat up. i was curious for what he needed to talk to me about.

"okay then." i said and we both hung up. i got up from my bed and walked downstairs. my parents were home and if i'm not downstairs to open the door, they'll going to want to talk to him.

there was no secret that my parents loved joe. but i wanted to talk to him instead of parents talking to him.

i sighed in relief when i noticed that they weren't in the living room. i peeked inside the kitchen and surely enough, they were talking in there. "you're finally out of your room." my mom said as she turned to look at me.
