"Hey Gwen." she said adding a simple smirk.

"Skywood." I say through gritted teeth. She had always found a way to creep beneath my skin. She made me livid as hell.

"G-Gwen.. uh this is-"

"Brittney. Can you not see that I know her. We went to school together. I am pretty sure that you went to school with me!" I snap almost too loudly. She irritated me and when ever she was around, God knows what I will do.

"I was going to actually say... my girlfriend."

The words brought my attention to his bright blue eyes.

After an awkward moment of silence  I managed to put on my best fake smile.

"Oh." was the only thing that came out of my mouth.

I turned back to Brittney who was still smirking widely.

My blood started boiling. I felt annoyed with her presence.

I haven't seen the girl in a year and I am pretty sure she had said to everyone that she was going to college a month after highschool.

It is winter... definitely not a month.

"What about college?" I asked standing straight.

"I am gone for winter break. What about you?" she asked finally getting out of that annoying pose. She was hovering over him since I entered. The sight was even worse than her being here. I just.. I feel weird thinking of my Sean with some girl. Especially with Brittney.

I know for a fact that we are just friends and even if I did like him, I would not want to jeopardize our friendship.

"I am not going until next fall. Sean, I have to talk with you." I say quickly turning my full attention towards him.

He gulped and nodded. I could tell he was uncomfortable but I couldn't care less if I was interrupting anything between them.

"In private." I say raising an eyebrow. I heard a scoff next to me causing me to roll my eyes.

"No offense sweetie,"

I groaned at her calling me that.

"But you aren't his mother." I turned to her seeing the same annoying face she had had on for the past couple minutes.

"Was I talking with you?" I say with a sarcastic smile. She looked offended causing me to feel pride.

I looked back at Sean and motioned him to follow me. He looked surprised at the previous scene but what for? He knows I hate her.

He got up and followed me down the hallway until we were far from the room.

"Gwen I am so-"

"Sean just be quiet. I do not care about your dumb ass girlfriend," I lied. I did not want him to even see the slightest of jealousy in me.

"I have something to tell you."

I say inhaling. I grew impatient with the slut in the room and now I have to deal with arguing. Though he will get pissed, I know that its the right thing to do.

He nodded sending me a soft smile

"I went t-" I was cut off by the one person that I want to kill right now.

"Babe, I cannot wait too long. I want to see your face again." she pleaded with an annoying giggle.

I groaned as he focused on the room.

"You know what, forget it Sean. Go sleep with the girl you know I hate. Go ahead. Do not worry about me. And do not even bother asking what I was gonna tell you." I say about to leave. I turn as I feel a soft grip on my wrist. I turn to see his soft eyes starring deeply into mine. I got caught off guard but I shook off my thoughts.

I let go of his grip.

"What??"  I asked obviously frustrated.

"I am sorry about the other time.."

I scoffed.

"Did you seriously just apologize for that?!"

I asked. There was a moment of silence until a familiar soft voice called.

"Is everything alright?"

"Everything is just fine." I lie sending Sean one last glare before storming downstairs. Tears nearly came out but my anger took over.

He really does not care. All he does is apologize for kissing me!!

What does that mean? Am I really all that bad?

I waved one last good bye to Grandpa and grandma without eye contact.

Before leaving I hear a loud noise behind of me. As I was going to ignore it, something quickly caught my attention.

"John!" I turned around and Grandpa John was now on the floor. The sight brought trembles but without a doubt, I rushed over to where Grandma was trying to wake him.

Loud steps were heard from behind me though I didn't pay attention. I shook John but came to a sudden realization that we need to call the hospital.

"Grandpa!" I turn to see a worried Sean and a shocked Brittney.

His tears were already developing. I don't blame him. His grandparents are all he really has in life.

Sean rushed over as Brittney stood near the stairs looking scared and disgusted.

Ugh I just wanted to punch her then and there but something far more important was happening. I quickly took out my phone from my back pocket and dialed 411.

I told them the address and what was going on and they quickly replied with a, "We are on our way ma'am." I hung up and focused my attention on Grandpa. Still he was on the floor lifeless. Sean and Grandma Monica were crying desperately trying to wake him even though deep inside, he wouldn't open his eyes any minute now. I rushed to him and tried finding his pulse. I am not the best nurse or whatever but this is a skill everyone should know by the time they reach middle school.

"He is alive but unconscious." I quickly say.

I turn to Sean as I see his blue eyes now grey.

"Everything will be fine." I whispered.
