At first, I never really expected my first day of freshman year to turn out like that. I mean, meeting Sage was only the start, the beginning, and well, at the time I decided to start a new. Become a new person, but being someone you are definitely not is slightly hard for someone like me. My plan was to survive freshman year by joining as much popular clubs and hanging out with what you'd call the 'popular' kids as possible. But, the more I was with Sage, the more I became different, and being with her made me happy. I wasn't going to stop being friends, or at least I call us that.

At first I considered not being friends with her. Between the time when we talked and the time we sat together every day in Home Ec; I thought it was just lame. We would just... Talk. We would talk and talk and talk until the bell rang and we had to go. I couldn't stop thinking about her every time we were apart; her hair, her smile, even the way she would crinkle her nose when I said something gross. Would I really stop being friends with her over the simple fact of claiming that she's wasn't cool enough? Then again I knew nothing about her, and I couldn't tell what she thought of me, so I couldn't really judge her.

The way we met could have been better, but I guess I kind of liked how everything turned out.

Because I knew the next day I would have a chance to see her again.
