Beauty Is Pain.

Since when?

Big Girls Don't Cry.

But Why?

We have heard these sayings all our lives yet we are also told to embrace our inner beauty.

Once we do, however, we are criticized for it.

How can we, as woman, at even the young age of Twelve show our inner beauty when today's society says you are not beautiful unless you are different.

Bigger breast.

Bigger butt.

Wider hips.

Bigger lips.

Smaller waist.

Who makes these standards, because it's certainly not us? Girls who are twelve are being subject to change their body to "Fit In".

I hate to think, that the only way we can fit into society's standards is through a needle or a knife.

Now, not to say that people that change themselves are necessarily bad, sometimes change is good but what bothers me the most is that there are woman and men out there who are being pushed to believe that the only way they will be accepted or make something of themselves is to look like someone else.

What is so good about looking like someone you're not? You're not them, you're you. If they can't see how wonderful you are then why listen to what they have to say? This is your life, noit theirs so why is there input any less valuable than your own?

You are beautiful!

You are Unique!

You are beautiful!

You are you!

So why does beauty have to be painful?
