     Vampires.
One of the most romanticized creatures to ever consume the human mind. Their unbeatable speed and strength combined with the everlasting hunger for human blood somehow transfigured into a willingness to fall in love with a helpless, defenseless human. A predator that falls in love with its prey. Vampires have not even earned the right to recognized as their respected gender. Therefore, if someone were to fall victim to the romantic experience with a vampire, they would not be in love with him or her, they would be in love with it.
Confusingly, this varmint was always willing to put aside their undeniable hunger to protect the one it loved.
Well, that is what Hollywood advertised in films.
In reality, they had no warmth or sentiment towards anything or anyone. They, being the predators, simply hunted the prey—they did what they were created to do. Much of the population fell victim to this common belief that these creatures were capable of loving; of feeling emotions just as humans do. Sadly, in these cases the human either dies a horrible, gruesome death or is distorted physically and mentally through an excruciating process. There is no other option.
She was one of these victims.
