The air in the car remained still and frozen, the only sound being the subtle humming of the engine. Her head ached from the liquor coursing through her veins, and drove her dizzy. Her eyes could barely hold themselves open anymore.
"U-Um, w-where are you, um, taking me?" she slurred from her lips, the scent of alcohol filling the volume of the car.
"What's your name?" the apparent commander questioned.
"N-none of your b-"
"Fine. We will introduce ourselves. My name is Gabriel. Men?"
The one driving spoke first, glancing at the girl through the rearview. "I'm Mason; nice to meet ya!" His large grin shined.
"I'm Luke," her original harasser stated.
"And I'm Freddy!" the squeaky one shouted from the back.
"My name is Joshua," the one on her other side said, reaching out a hand to shake hers.
The woman looked at his hand and turned to face forward, ignoring his "kind" gesture. "M-My name is-" belch "-Adeline."
Another silence followed. It felt like hours, yet Adeline felt comfortable in the vacuum of a car. It supplied her with a moment to gather her drunken thoughts. Her head felt as if it weighed a ton and was crushing her neck, and she desperately wanted to rest it.
"Would you like to rest your head on my shoulder?" Luke asked watching as she continuously rolled her neck, and the remainder of the men glanced at him in shock, but only for a second before turning forward again. Adeline interrogated herself silently.
"Please," she replied, quickly leaning her head on his shoulder, giving her neck the rest it deserved. Adeline interrogated herself silently. Why is she so content? Why is she acting as if she hadn't just been forced into an unknown car? Why is she leaning on her kidnapper's shoulder? Panic and fear comes in all shapes and sizes, I suppose. Luke gazed at her, taking in the eccentric scent of her curls and the reeking booze. Joshua peered at him, and gave a questioning look. Luke met his eyes before turning away to look out of the window.
After a several minutes, the car came to a halt. "We're here!" Mason squealed in an almost child-like tone. Adeline rose her head quickly and peeked through the windows to see nothing but darkness. A spike of pain tore through her head. "Where is here?"
"It's where we play games," Gabriel informed.
"What kind of games?"
"You'll see. Don't worry, they're fun-," Mason started before Gabriel cut back in.
"Everyone, get out."
Everyone in the car followed his instructions and began to open the doors to exit, with the exception of Adeline.
"N-N-No." She held her head in her hand as she rested her eyes.
"Now, Adeline, you know what happened last time you refused, right? I would hate to have to use force again," Gabriel stated. "I. . . don't. . . trust you," she hesitantly said back.
"As you shouldn't." He exited the passenger seat and walked to Joshua's side, signaling him to move aside. Gabriel dipped his head into the car, sighing as he met her eyes. "I am going to give you one more chance; get out of the car."
"No-" she couldn't even finish her statement before he reached in, grabbed hold of her hair, and brutally jerked her toward him. She shrieked in pain and shock, kicking as he pulled her out of the car and forced her down to the dirt ground. Adeline grunted as her head powerfully struck the ground. Gabriel wrapped his fingers around her throat, squeezing. She grabbed his fingers, desperately trying to pry them away, her eyes pleading for her life.
"Now, you listen here you little slut, next time I tell you to do something, I recommend you do it, okay? Disobey me again, and I'll make your husband cheating on you feel like a cakewalk!" He spat in her face before releasing her and standing to his feet. She gasped for air, letting it in as if it were her best friend. She turned to her side coughing and heaving. "Trust me, I've got no patience for whores like you," he muttered.
"Pick her up and let's go," he demanded.
