Meliodas stood behind the bar, pouring a drink. The Sins sat at various tables, chatting and drinking. Meliodas watched them all silently.

There was a few customers, mostly people who had yet to leave after last night and had a hangover.

Ban wasn't drunk, which was unusual since all he did was drink lately. He was teasing King about Diane, who got all flustered while Diane giggled. Merlin was somewhere nearby, and Gowther was in the corner reading a book.

Elizabeth sat beside them, joining in the conversation. Her silver hair moved as she talked, and he couldn't take his eyes off her. Meliodas chuckled slightly. Even now, after over 3000 years, she still held his heart.

Diane skipped up to the counter. "Captain, could you pass me some ale?" She asked sweetly.

"Sure thing!" Meliodas turned and grabbed a bottle of ale. "But have you even had any breakfast?" He threw the bottle at her.

"I'm not hungry." Diane shrugged, catching it. "And besides, Ban's cooking is a lot better than mine. So I'll wait until he makes something to eat and I'll pester him to make me something."

"Are you sure? I could always make something up-"

"Nope! No thanks! Your cooking is terrible." Diane shook her head violently.

"Just a joke." Meliodas chuckled quietly to himself, returning to his thoughts.

Diane went back to the table and sat down beside Elizabeth. "Does anything seem off with the Captain to you?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" Ban ran his hands through his hair. "He seems fine to me. He's got all his limbs, doesn't he?"

"Not that! I meant as in he is acting kind of strange, don't you think?" Diane sighed. She took a drink from the bottle. "Or is it just me?"

"Come to think of it, he spends a lot more time behind the bar, he doesn't leave there almost the entire day." King mused.

"Guys, relax, he's probably just sad about something." Ban rolled his eyes, stealing Diane's bottle. He took a drink.

"Hey! Give that back! Get your own!" Diane snatched her bottle back. "I know, but it's not like him."

Elizabeth, who had remained quiet the whole time, frowned. "Whatever is bothering Sir Meliodas, I hope he figures it out."

"Maybe you could ask him?" King suggested. "You're obviously important to him."

Elizabeth blushed. "N-No I'm not!"

Meliodas was still lost in thoughts about a certain Silverette, and didn't notice everyone staring at him.

"Okay, I see what you mean." Ban admitted. "Oi, Captain, pass me some Vanya Ale will ya?"

"Sure thing Ban." Meliodas replied, grinning.

"I thought you were giving alcohol up?" Elizabeth said curiously.

"Hell no. I just wanted to see what it was like." Ban shook his head. "I prefer the hangover to a sober day."

"Are you sure that makes sense?" Gowther asked from behind his book. "You mean you prefer having a hangover to being sober?"

"Whatever-"

"Uhh, Ban." Meliodas called.

"Yeah?"

"I can't reach the Vanya Ale. It's on the top shelf."

"What?" Ban spluttered, laughing loudly. "You can't reach it? You know what, I'll get it." Ban stood up and walked to the bar. He grabbed the Ale and sat down again. "You're a shortass, Captain."
