The next day, everyone was up quite early, as Merlin had announced that they were nearing the site where Claude the Holy Knight was apparently camped at.

Elizabeth was woken up by Meliodas tapping her shoulder.

"Elizabeth, wake up." Meliodas said. "Wake up, we'll be there soon and Ban's cooking this morning."

"Oh." Elizabeth yawned. "Good morning, Meliodas." She got out of bed and grabbed her clothes, before starting to get dressed.

"Morning, Elizabeth."

Meliodas watched her indiscreetly while getting dressed himself, making no effort to hide it. Elizabeth continued dressing, though she went very red. They both put on their usual outfits.

Elizabeth turned around to face Meliodas. "Should we go downstairs-"

Meliodas stopped her quickly, and kissed her gently on the lips. Out of all the things he'd missed in his life, this was one he missed the most. He intended to to that as much as possible, before... Well, Meliodas brushed that thought away. 'Just enjoy it while it... Lasts.' He thought.

"W-What was that for?" Elizabeth blushed, stuttering.

"No reason." Meliodas shrugged. "Let's go downstairs."

"Okay." Elizabeth agreed, though still blushing. She followed him down the stairs.

Down in the bar, Ban was cooking. Diane and King were in a conversation. Gowther was with Merlin, and they were discussing something, and Escanor was with them, gazing adoringly at Merlin.

Meliodas walked up and sat at the barstool opposite where was Ban was working. "Yo, Ban."

"Cap'n. Sleep at all? Or could you not reach the bed?" Ban teased.

"Shut up." Meliodas deadpanned, swinging a fist at Ban. It hit Ban the nose, making his nose bleed for a few seconds.

"Damn it, Cap'n, you almost broke my nose." Ban swore. "Want some ale?"

Meanwhile, Elizabeth approached King and Diane, who were laughing and chatting.

"Morning!" Elizabeth beamed.

"Morning Elizabeth!" Diane smiled. "How did you sleep?"

"Good. I had a wonderful dream." Elizabeth smiled, slipping into a seat beside Diane, opposite King.

"What about?" King asked.

"A fountain in Liones Castle. Except, it was filled with chocolate instead of water. And there were strawberries you could dip in it..." Elizabeth smiled dreamily.

"Stop! You're making me even hungrier!" Diane giggled playfully. "I wish Ban would finish cooking already "

"What is Ban even cooking?" King rolled his eyes.

"Some-"

"Breakfast is ready! Bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, sausage and ale! Come get it!" Ban interrupted, yelling from behind the counter. He placed a lot of plates on the counter.

"P-p-pork?!" Hawk squealed, going pale.

"Pork!" Diane practically drooled, running towards the counter.

Everyone grabbed their fair share of food, before sitting back down.

"So, how is it?" Ban smirked, sitting down at the table beside King, who shuffled away slightly. "Good?"

"Really good!" Elizabeth complimented.

"Much better than Captain's!" Diane agreed, eating ferociously.
