Chapter 26. A Bet?

Owen and I were walking to my locker since he already went to his. What I noticed about Owen he's actually pretty antisocial, not as much as me though.

"Why are those monkeys there?" Owen asked as I followed his gaze it landed on Elijah, James, and Mason.

"Don't know but I really don't wanna talk to them," I said frowning. We got there and Owen being the good brother he was, spoke up.

"Aye ya weirdos move it," He said and I looked at him weirdly. Why does he always talk like that? It's so weird.

"Why don't you shut up shorty," Mason said and I giggled because Owen is older and taller than all of them.

James and Elijah both nudged him and gave looks.

"Dude let us do the cool talk," Elijah reassured him. Mason just rolled his eyes but nonetheless nodded slightly. 

They shifted there gaze to me and I looked down, I successfully moved them so I could get to my locker.

 "We want to propose something," James told me and I snorted loud enough for them to hear. Owen facepalmed and shook his head.

He rolled his eyes and let Elijah take over as I turned my lock combination, "What he means is that we wanna make a bet with you."

I looked over my shoulder and squinted my eyes at them, "Why?" Is all I said.

They all huffed, "Just listen. Go a day without stuttering or being nervous, and if you succeed you can tell us anything you like and we'll do it for a week. If you fail we will ask or tell you to do anything for a week for all of us and you cannot back out of it. Do we have a deal?" Mason explained and I was actually considering.

"Can I think about it?" I asked them, they quickly exchanged looks before speaking, "Sure but only until lunch."

At that sentence, they walked off and I looked over at Owen who had his jaw clenched. Whoops forgot to make it okay with him.

"What were you thinking! What if they make you do something illegal?" He exclaimed, people gave him weird looks but shrugged it off.

"I don't think they would go that far, and besides don't you believe in me?" I said and made a sad face but his eyes completely soften, and I mentally smirked because he hates seeing me get hurt and sad. But that's every brother, right?

"Yes I do but just be careful alright? Make good decisions I'll see you at lunch," He said and kissed my forehead before walking off to class.

I started walking off to class, thinking about the bet. What could go wrong, am I right? Wait don't say that, whenever people say that it always ends up wrong.

We were eating lunch when suddenly a hand slammed down on the table, I flinched and so did the others we look up and I guessed it.

"What do you guys want?" I asked Elijah, James, and Mason. They rolled their eyes before Elijah spoke.

"The bet remember? What's your decision?" He asks and I instantly remember.

The guys looked confused and also amused, while Owen looked worried.

I took my arm for him to shake it, "We have a deal."

They all smirked and Mason shook my hand, "Yes we do."

Now it was silent before Elijah stood on the table and coughed for everyones attention, "Everyone! Hello most of you may know me by now, if you don't my names Elijah."
