Scenario: you live alone with your parent(s), and your mom was wanting to adopt a younger brother for you. Not much younger, maybe just one or two years. But, you didn't want her to do that because you liked being the only child. She did it anyway, though. So, yall are heading to the foster home to pick up this younger brother. All you know is that he doesn't talk much. You haven't seen what he looks like or anything, only your mom has. Y'all finally get there, and your mom parks the car. Y'all get out and head inside the foster home, and your mom tells you to go look around and be nice to the little kids while she goes to do the adoption paperwork. You start walking around, and you walk past a room where the door was cracked open a bit. You catch a glimpse of some blonde boy packing stuff in a small suitcase, so you assume it's the one your mom is adopting. So you decide that you should at least talk to him a bit? (This is where you reply)- you slowly push the door open and step inside, and clear your throat to get his attention. He quickly looks up at you, a bit startled, and stares at you.
