CHAPTER ONE: Nebraska. Yay.
The water just seemed to go with each of my motions. I moved right, it just flowed along with it. I wish my family was like this; not violent at all, yet not really kind all the time. They should be stable, but willing to move.
The reason I am taking my frustrations out on the beautiful, picture perfect ocean is because my parents are making us move away from our peaceful home of Hawaii, to Nebraska. UGGGHH! (No offence to people who live in Nebraska! (^.^)
“RED! RED, COME HOME SWEETIE! WE NEED TO PACK FOR THE MOVE! C’MON, BABYDOLL!” My mother’s sweet voice came from shore.
I looked at the beach, and there stood my beautiful mother. I inherited my long red hair from her. She had kind brown eyes, and a great figure for a mother of three.
“COMIN’ MOM! BE THERE IN A SEC!” I yelled back to her. She flashed me a thumbs up, and plopped something next to my clothes in the sand. A towel. She ran back up towards the house.
Yup, I did live practically on the beach. I swam quickly up to the shore, and ran out of the warm water, into the lukewarm air. I picked up the towel and semi-dried myself and my hair, and then I wrapped it around my 4’7” stature.
After I dried off a bit, I ran over to my two-story home. My dad was standing with his arms crossed tightly over his chest. Oh, crap…
“Red Smithson! Don’t you dare run of like that!” He yelled.
I sighed, “Sorry, daddy, but I have friends here, plans… Jace…”
He looked me in my eyes, a flash of sadness flashed over his eyes. “I’m so sorry about that, honey, but you have to break up with him. Long distance relationships never work! I’m sorry, Red.”
I smiled sadly at him. “It’s okay, I understand. I will go see him now, to just get it over with.”
“Okay, honey-due.” He said, his old nickname making me smile at him, and rush to hug him.
“I love y’all! I’m sorry I ran away, I was just mad and surprised.” I said to my mom and dad.
“It’s okay, babe. I understand how you feel. Go to Jace, and work things out.” Mom said to me.
I nodded and walked out the door, headed to my boyfriend’s house. To end a three year long relationship with the guy I love.
