Angelina ran, her small slim body moving ever so swiftly dodging low tree branches, stumps, and rocks.
How much running Angelina did may seem like a lot, but running is something that Angelina was very talented at, her lean body and swift running made it easy for her. .
The way it felt to run, breathing in the fresh forest air, her long red hair flowing behind her, her dress blowing back, making her bare feet visible, was what she loved about it. Running made her feel free.
The sun was beginning to rise in the sky, and Angelina had run so far that the trees in this area were more spread out. Which meant that the moon light leaked through the thin tree branches.
The arrows tucked away in the quiver resting on her back bounced as she ran, the edge of the bow that was tucked under the quiver strap, poked at her hip.
She could feel the cold metal of the daggers resting against the skin of her inner thighs, tucked under a small leather belt that draped around her thigh.
Her long green dress had dried in the wind as she ran.
The Forest floor was covered in all sorts of green weeds, moss, and brightly colored flowers. Every now and then she would step on a sharp stick, pine cone, or run across a patch of pine needles that had fallen off of the trees, but a few small cuts on her feet hadn't effected her one bit. After all she had been used to the cuts and blood on her feet, because she usually refused to wear shoes.
Her green dress was long enough to cover the fact that she wasn't wearing shoes most of the time.
That was one thing her mother had hated, she always pestering Angelina about wearing shoes wether it be inside of the house or not. But nobody could convince her to wear them.
Angelina's lips curved into a small smile as her mind traveled back to the memory.
Her feet stopped abruptly as she stepped on a sharp rock, sticks and pine needles didn't bother her, but sharp stones hurt, badly.
She sat down on the green moss covering the Forest floor and examined her foot.
There were small cuts with dried blood on them dispersed on her foot, and one chiefly deep cut. The blood came out quickly and Angelina winced at it.
She scooted closer to a tree and slipped the quiver mad bow off of her shoulder. She leaned against the tree and tipped her head back.
But before she knew it, her heavy eyes closed and she drifted off to sleep.
