Chapter One

June, 2014.

Livvy's pov

"Why on earth did you refuse Travis' promposal Livvy?!", Cass' impossibly loud, shrill voice practically yell in my really sensitive ears.

"Could you be any more subtle Cass", I ask her sarcastically, looking around the crowded cafeteria, where students either sit, stand or loiter over lunch. Most people are looking at me and they, just like Cass are not even trying to make it not obvious.

They probably already heard that I -mean, grumpy bitch of Windsville- managed to bewitch- Windsville's golden boy- Travis Kavanaugh into liking me and then refusing his oh-so-romantic promposal to me.

"B-b-but it's Travis! and it's the fucking P-R-O-M! You can't do this girl. Every girl in school would kill to be in your shoes! Except me that is", she says trying to persuade me as usual.

The thing is, Trav isn't a bad guy, I just have my eyes on one particular guy and even though he's no longer in high school, I heard he's taking Regina-Windsville High school Queen Bitch- and I'm jealous and really pissed.

As if she's reading my mind, Cass asks me more quietly this time, "Is this about Dame and Regina? 'cause you know he just wants to get in her pants right?".

I sigh.

"Oh Liv", she says and scoots closer to me a sad look on her face.

"Damien is a stupid, stupid fool. You shouldn't let him get to you, he's having fun at Columbia with all the girls and he just wants someone who can feed his disgusting, sexual desires while he's back for the summer and he can't use you for that 'cause he knows I'll cut his dick off", she says convincingly.

"But I want to fulfill 'em", I say stubbornly, pouting and with my arms crossed over my chest.

"Okay that was -eww- but if that's what you want, you should go to the dance with a hot, cute guy aka Travis and have so much fun while looking sexy as hell so you can show my idiot brother that you can be a goddess. A hotter one than Gina would ever be", she says smirking at me.

Truth be told, one of the reasons why I love Cass is because she always knows the right things to say that'll lift my mood. So I sigh and reply the pretty she-devil, "OK Cass".

She smiles self-satisfactorily and stands up, placing her left hand on her slim waist and pulling me up with her right hand. "So now you're going to go accept Travis with that sultry smile of yours and get the girls more jealous", she says and I almost laugh.

We abandon our lunches and go out of the cafeteria into the courtyard where the basketball, football and track girls teams, and cheerleading squad sit for lunch, and Cass waves at everyone we pass by, until we reach the table where Travis sits at with his fellow basketball players.

Travis is tall, and exceptionally so, with dark brown hair and hazel colored eyes. The kind that'll make you forget all you wanted to tell him and draw you in till you almost kiss him unknowingly.

At least that's what I overheard Kylie from the cheer squad say to her friends once.

His face is all hard planes and angles, and he has really pretty, pink feminine lips. His body is on a whole other level. He has really broad shoulders and a really hard chest, with strong abs and well shaped biceps and triceps.

I know all these because we kissed last summer at his best buddy-Connor's- party, where we got paired at a seven minutes in heaven game. I was quite tipsy, so I kissed him in the closet we were in and he kissed me back enthusiastically.

After the party, he began to show keen interest in me and I kept him close as a friend, and just that.

Apparently, he thinks I like him back as more than a friend.

"Hey guys!", Cass greets batting her long lashes at the guys, before zoning in on Travis.

"Travis, Livvy wants to talk to you", she tells him. When I hesitate, she nudges me sharply but subtly-thank God- and I cleat my throat.

"Can we talk privately?", I say to him and he nods. I follow him away from his friends and we sit at a lone bench near the school's plague.

"Uhmmm...I'm sorry about earlier Trav, I didn't mean to turn you down in public really. I was just kinda overwhelmed and embarrassed by the public proposal", I say looking at my fingers shyly.

"If the proposal still stands I'd love to go to the prom with you". I look at him and find him smiling, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"That's great Liv. You should know I really like you and even though you may be confused about us still staying together when we graduate and go to different colleges, I want us to try. I'll try my best to make the prom the best school dance you've ever attended I promise".

"Ok T", I say smiling at him. He smiles back at me and stands up, extending his hand to me. I take it and he pulls me up. I meet his chest and look up at him feigning a shy, sultry look. He smiles softly at me and I duck my head shyly before moving my lips to kiss his cheek.

The guys in the courtyard start whistling and catcalling at us. The girls look at us, longing, jealousy and scorns on most of their faces. I ignore them, and Travis chuckles before holding my hand and we walk back to his table.

Cass springs up from Connor's thighs and loops her arm through mine.
"I'll see you later", I tell Travis and he nods, a smile on his face as he sits down.

Cass and I walk away and I look back to see the boys clapping Travis on his shoulders in congratulation.

"That wasn't so hard now, was it?", Cass croons and I smirk. "I had to do a lot of acting back there you should know", I tell her.

"You were so convincing, you obviously learnt from the best. You'll get a reward for that", she says and I laugh. "Thank God! I'd kill for a cup of cappuccino right now. Can that be the reward?", I ask and it's now Cass' turn to laugh.

"I was about to ask who you are and what you've done to my friend, but now you asked for a coffee and I'm a hundred percent sure it's you that's walking with me right now", she says shaking her head.

Chapter one is done guys.

Next chapter, we're going to meet Damien so you should anticipate because our actor for the character is a very sexy and charming character. He's going to be really annoying at first though but he'll be worth the annoyance eventually.
