Y/N pov

'Fuck this. I hate it.'

"Get your ass up, we have a long day"

Astrid, my personal maid said opening the curtains and the sunlight hit my face. Astrid was quite tall, she had a shorter upper body and long legs. She had beautiful long, white hair that was always tied up in a high ponytail. Her piercing, bright, blue eyes were friendly and she was always kind and made sure I don't do anything stupid. She was a couple of years older than me and came to the castle when I was little so she had been like a big sister to me since.

"What if I don't want to go to the stupid party?"

I groaned

"Ma'am you have to, it's your 20th birthday and you need a man on your side and this is the perfect opportunity"

she said calmly and placed a gown on my bed. I just groaned and threw the gown on the floor as I got up from the bed.

"how many times do I have to say, drop the honorifics. Just say y/n!"

Astrid just giggled and gave me a wet towel for me to fresh up

"So when do I have to come back?"

I said and rubbed my face to the cold towel

"From what? you have a tight schedule today"

she asked and looked at the clock at my wall.

"from killing the king, what else you think. And you should squeeze that schedule if you don't want me actually kill the king"

"You should not joke such topics, he is your father after all. Now go, before others see you"

I smiled at her and went to change clothes

"Gosh. It's gonna be a long day"

Astrid said and sighing.

On my way out of my room, I pumped to something. Quickly I realized that it was my bodyguard, Hoseok, and his muscles.

"morning grumpy"

he said with a smile

"morning positivity"

I answered, unbothered and headed to the back wing of the castle

"I expect that you won't be getting ready for the evening so..?"

"yes exactly we are gonna do some practice"

"and what exactly is in your mind?"

" as long as I can hit things to avoid that I don't hit anyone tonight it's fine"

"I thought you wanted to kill the king? "

I rolled my eyes and continued to walk

--

I dodged Hoseok's sword and kicked him in the leg that he fell down on his knees and pointed my sword on his neck as a victory. We had been sparring for about two hours straight, in peace. Till my father's servant came to the yard.
