The day turned to night and Luke was about done with dinner. John was still drawing what he saw, "Hey, you could stop now. You need to eat." Johnathan then stopped drawing and put his sketchbook  into his bag. Luke passed John a plate with fish that had been seasoned with pepper, salt, and some lemon to really bring out the flavor. "Wow Luke, this tastes amazing. I wish you would have become a chef or something; you could've been making food for me like this all the time." Luke chuckled, "Nah, it's just something I picked up from my ex." "Hey, don't you start talking about him because then you start looking depressed and I don't want my best friend to be sad on this beautiful journey. Alright?" "Yeah yeah."
After they finished their food; Luke looked up into the sky and noticed that they were getting pretty dark. "Hey, we may have a problem." Johnathan was confused, "What do you say that?" Luke then pointed at the sky and told John that those are rain clouds and that they may be getting hit by a storm. "Ah man! I don't do well in storms!" Johnathan yelled, "Listen it's fine, all we gotta do is drop the anchor and make sure we don't fall off the boat." John was still frightened by the fact that they are in the middle of nowhere about to get hit by a storm and no one can save them if something goes wrong.
Huge waves began to form as the winds picked up speed. "Luke! I'm scared man! Last time I was in a storm like this I lost my dog!" Luke was trying to control the ship and could hear the fear in his best friend's voice. "Okay! Listen Johnathan, come here!" John was to scared to even move, so Luke grabbed John and held on to him as if he was his own son, " Everything will be alright John; everything will be alright." "Luke, I wanna go home.." John cried.

The storm just kept getting worse; waves were crashing onto the boat, lightning would strike every second, and they were both terrified

The storm just kept getting worse; waves were crashing onto the boat, lightning would strike every second, and they were both terrified. Luke had never seen a storm like this before; then out of nowhere, a giant wave struck the boat submerging it underwater. Luke and John were in the stirring room; when water then began to enter through the shut door. John was screaming, "OH GOD LUKE! WERE GONNA DIE!" "JOHN WE ARE NOT GOING TO DIE! WE CAN FIND A WAY OUT OF THIS!"
Before Luke could do anything the door burst open with water filling the whole boat. The last thing Luke heard was John scream his name before the current took him out of the boat and into the open water. Everything went dark; Luke saw a shadow of a fish like creature swimming towards him and grabbing his arm.
Luke couldn't see a thing; there was sand in his eyes, he heard waves, seagulls, and he heard the rustling of leaves in the wind. He assumed he was on land, but when he opened his eyes he didn't see Johnathan anywhere. "John!? Johnathan!? Where are you buddy?!" He began to panic and his voice began to crack, "John! Please, come out! God dammit! I should have taken you home..." He sat near a tree and sobbed; when he heard a voice.
"Hey, it'll be alright. We'll find your friend." When Luke looked up he saw no one, "Hey, over here. In the water." Luke then looked towards the sea and saw a man just swimming in there, "Wh-who are you?" Luke asked "My name is Ryan, I'm a siren." Luke was a bit confused, "So, your some sort of merman?" Ryan just nodded, "Yeah sure, whatever. But listen, I know where your friend is. His name is Johnathan right?" Luke stood up with wide eyes, "You know where he is!? Please take me to him, he needs me." Ryan then nodded and said he will help him, but Luke will need to turn into a siren.
"What!? I need to turn into one of you?" Ryan nodded, "Yes, it's the only way you could see your friend. Now come into the water, but take your clothes off." Luke felt a bit uncomfortable taking off his clothes that he blushed a bit and so did Ryan, "Wow, I've never seen a human body before." "Just shut up and get this over with." Ryan then got back to work and began to chant; while Ryan was chanting Luke's feet began to disappear and turn into a giant tail; his ears turned into fins, he had gils and teeth became sharp. He was a full siren now, "Wow, this is actually pretty cool." Ryan smiled, "Alright, now give me your hand. Let's go get your friend."
