Malik and Sam had awoken from their slumber. A message read on the screen "Hey guys I need your help." They both got on their computers to see what was wrong. It was Aaron, he somehow got on top of his house and saw his first out of seven gates. "Theres like this floating... circle thing like outside of my house..?" He said confused.
Malik responded with "Oh thats your first gate just dont touch it until you have a weapon." He sat up and went outside to look towards the sky. He could see his Seven Gates above his house. He knew he had to make sure everyone knew that they couldnt go in the first gate without being prepared. He sent a message and pinged everyone saying "Hey everyone if you look outside of your house you can see several circle things in the sky. Those are gates. Dont go through them without a weapon because there will be some fighting when you go through" Malik then went into his bedroom and pulled out twin flintlocks from under his bed. He had them there since his childhood when someone tried to break into his house. He walked back outside and climbed up onto his roof. Jumping up as high as he could, he reached his first gate. Entering his land, the Land of Hills and Mirrors, he looked around. It was a nice place. The land was filled with sandy fields and reflective pits of glass. The the consorts were sandy spirit creatures with weary faces. Malik pulled out his phone and began to speak to his friends. "Ok so Ive entered my first gate. It brought me down to my planet the Land of Hills and Mirrors. We can just call it LOHAM for short ok. When you get to your planets go ahead and look around but dont fight anything yet because certain enemies are way stonger than you think. Of course, if you brought a weapon, go ahead and fight the imps but build your way up to bigger enemies." He typed as he walked towards one of the consorts. He began talking to the consort to know more about the land. The consorts told him about a legend about some warrior guy that was going to restore faith in thr land. Apparently, ever since of the arrival of Malik, some person was supposed to take "The Legendary Nap" and restore Hope in the land. Malik continued around his land until he ran into a giant enemy.
Meanwhile, Sam had begun her pursuit to her first gate. She grabbed her father's boating helmet and went outside. Before reaching the first gate, she read what Malik had to say. "What have we gotten ourselves into..." She mumbled to herself before leaping into the sky and through her first gate. Entering the Land of Flora and Ink, her land was bright and... very dark. There were beautiful pink flowers everywhere and lakes of deep black ink. The consorts were a velvet fuschia color with a slightly concerned face. They were adorable. Sam ran up to one of the consorts and asked what was going on. She learned that ever since her arrival, the land went from a beautiful pink and peach blossoming haven to a deep depressing flood due to the beast that sleeps in its core. The "magician" was supposed to meet the beast and "deal with it". This made sam feel anxious. Was she supposed to kill whoever was in her planet's core? She didnt think about having much of a boss in this game. Couldnt she just talk to it? She pulled out her phone and began to type. "Malik what is this I hear about a "beast that sleeps in my planet's core" ? Also yeah, Im on my planet now. Its called the Land of Flora and Ink so I guess LOFAI? Anyway its pink and black. Im supposed to like deal with this so called beast and I dont know much about that."
Malik quickly wrote back "So the beast is your Denizen and thats kinda like the final boss for reaching your potential. Also, if youre a space player kokooldude I hope you dont kill it because we will need it for the end. You can of course kill it but that will just leave you out of very important experience it would be best if you just spoke to it and did its quest. Usually, the quest involves almost dying according to the legends Ive read from the internet but take that with a grain of salt. For now, just fight a bunch of imps and build up a huge load of grist. You need grist to build up to the next gate and eventually you will be able to reach the "God Tiers" so good luck. I think going God Tier is like reaching the highest level so I gues the quest is like learning more about your powers? Though I dont know if you need to be a god tier to do the quest or use powers. (No you dont but we dont know that) Anyway Ive been fighting a bunch of imps and now theres this big guy blocking my next gate so Ill be back when I get done with him. See ya! Good luck with the planet 🌺🌺🌺." Malik went back to fighting.
Sam took out throwing knives and started to battle imps as well. These things were somewhat powerful due to the things we prototyped. Fighting seemed to remind Sam about meeting Malik in her dream. She knew she wasnt dreaming because shes been awake on prospit for a long time. She was really surprised to see someone else though in the clouds of Skaia. She knew about other people being "asleep" on prospit but she never traveled as far as to see there was another waking moon. She didnt think other people would be asleep on "Derse" and only saw the others on prospit before seeing Malik in prospits clouds. Timezones were weird on earth so it was reasonable how they never really ran into each other as they were asleep (awake on the waking moons). Before she could realize, she fought her way through the onslaught of imps and made her way to the big guy blocking her gate. The strife had begun.
Finally the end of this chapter. It took me a while to write because I couldnt think of much. I knew where I wanted this to go but I couldnt think of how to get it there. Thanks for reading the section though and I will start on the next chapter soon. Im thinking of letting the next few chapters center around their respective characters.
