"Remember to finish your essays by tomorrow everyone!" The teacher said while the bell rang and the students started getting out of the class.
Younghoon walked out of the room, his backpack on one shoulder as he was heading off to his locker to get some books before leaving.
School had just ended for him but he still had to go to the library and finish his essay because he was sure he wouldn't get it done at home.
While walking to his locker, Younghoon saw his best friend standing next to his locker and trying to open it up.
"What are you doing Jaehyun?" He said cocking his eyebrows. "What does it look like? I'm trying to open up your locker dummy. And for the last time, call me Hyunjae" answers Jaehyun unbothered. "Jaehyun is too common in this school." he continued shortly. Younghoon pushed him lightly and opened up his locker. He got his books and as he was putting them into his backpack, Jaehyun shut the locker for him.
The two boys then headed outside.
"Shall we go say hi to Kev-" Before Yunghoon even gets to finish his sentence, Jaehyun said yes. Younghoon wasn't surprised by the quick answer. He laughed at his best friends behavior and shook his head slightly.
"Who could even say no to coffee man. That shit slaps." Jaehyun says. "You're addicted" Younghoon tells him, receiving a shrug back, "At least I'm not doing drugs"
The rest of the walk to the cafe was filled with the boys discussing about what happened in the classes they didn't share together.
"I see Kevin got artistic with the chalkboard again." Comments Jaehyun at the chalkboard as they arrived. "Of course he did" Says Younghoon obviously.
Kevin was truly incredible with his hands, not only did he make great art but his coffees were also the best.
The boys enter the coffee shop and the small bell attached to the top of the door rang, signaling new costumers.
Kevin looked up from his doodling mess as soon as he heared the bell. "Hey guys" He greeted them.
"Hello Kevin, hows work?" Younghoon asks. "Actually great, I saw Chanhee" But before the excited Kevin could continue Jaehyun decided to interrupt. "You still haven't asked him out?" He asked. "Hey! I will... Once I'm able to get words out of my mouth whenever I see him and not just stare at him like a weirdo."
Younghoon can't help but chuckle. "Don't worry Kevin, one day that will happen." Younghoon says while putting his hand on the youngers shoulder and giving him a warm smile.
Kevin returns the smile and finally asks the boys their order.
"So what can I get you, ma dudes?". "It's not Wednesday Kevin." Jaehyun says just to annoy their friend. Kevin rolled his eyes and looked at Younghoon, "Two coffees and a croissant, thank you."
"Coming right up!"
Once the boys got their orders, they said their goodbyes and headed off to the library with slow steps.
After the small walk and all the complaining they both made about how school was useless and that they should just drop out, they finally arrived.
"Oh, found empty seats over there." Jaehyun says pointing at the empty seats at the back.
Jaehyun sat on one of the chairs and took out his books.
While Younghoon was about to sit down, he noticed something on the floor. He picked it up to take a closer look. It was someone's student ID. It was in a transparent pouch that had the sides colored black with a marker.
Younghoon fliped the ID to see if he recognized the owner by the name or the picture on it. "Ji Changmin" He said to himself while looking at the picture, "Hm.. Cute"
"What?" Jaehyun asks looking up from his paper. "I found someones student ID on the floor. Does Ji Changmin sound familiar to you?" Younghoon hands the ID to his friend so he can take a better look.
The picture on the student ID looked familiar to Jeahyun, he was sure he had seen the boy somewhere but he wasn't sure from where, "Looks familiar but I'm not sure from where exactly." He hands the ID back to Younghoon
"He's cute though, you should ask him out when you return it back." continues Jaehyun raising his eyebrows a few times. "What? I-Im not doing that, I-I mean yeah he's cute but no, I cant." Younghoon says while shaking his head, the sudden suggestion making him flustered for some reason. Jaehyun laughs at his friend and replies with a whatever as he and continues writing his essay that he has no motivation for.
After several hand cramps, the boys had finished their essays and done their homework with a little help from the other.
They were heading back home but before they part ways Younghoon had a question, "How am I gonna return this back?" He said gesturing to the found item. Jaehyun looked at him and shrugged, "Honestly I don't know. You can go to his school tomorrow or another day but you would be late to your classes," Jaehyun paused for a little trying to think of a way his friend can return the ID back to its rightful owner.
"I don't know maybe you can come back to the library tomorrow and wait until he comes and gets it because I'm pretty sure he'll notice it's gone sooner or later."
Younghoon thinked about it shortly and nodded, "Yeah you're right. Well, guess I'm coming back here tomorrow." He sighs "Bye now, see you at school."
"Bye Hoonie, and think about the date thing. Who knows he might swing that way too." Jaehyun winks at Younghoon with a playful smile on his lips. "Yeah, I don't think so, bye Hyunjae."
"Bye!" Jaehyun yells laughing.
